Shapiro is much more polished and biting sure, but Walz is also a very strong speaker in a more folksy manner.

The reporting now is that Shapiro went into the interviews trying not to be the selection. Walz is a Midwest guy who was teacher, coached football and served in the National Guard for 24 years. He has never used a teleprompter and isn't your typical politician. I think it sets up as a good contrast to the Trump (a convicted criminal, fraudster, incites a riot against the Capitol) vs the prosecutor Harris who put people like him in jail and then fake hillbilly Vance who is a genuine weirdo vs guardsman, teacher, coach Walz. I like that dynamic
