The bad news is Trump and his cronies tried the "rigged election" B.S. in 2020 and it could be viewed as a dress rehearsal for this time around in 2024.

The good news is, since it was staged already in 2020, people will be ready for it and hopefully will shut it down instantly.

If history is any indication, I think it's very possible Trump will spend a bit of time immediately post-election screeching vitriol from his perch, but will then leave the country while his minions scream loudly enough to create a diversion.  He holds no elected post and no real power to accomplish anything.  Even the fringe lunatics won't have the stomach to go get arrested en masse like the J6 idiots did.

I could see him setting up in Hungary to evade prosecution, and his hold over the MAGA wing of Republicans being lost.

There were some laws enacted to ensure slates of electors had to be signed off by governors in states where that wasn't already mandated. The attempt was so brazen and unsubstantiated that it caught a lot of states by surprise last time but I think you're right in that they'll be prepared for it this time. Wouldn't shock me to see a beefed up police presence on election day when the votes are being counted. Election workers are probably on edge and dreading having to deal with all the maga morons who are a few sandwiches short of a picninc and eager for ish to pop off when the votes start piling up for Harris.

Hopefully the margins are big enough that it won't matter. If this election even comes down to just a handful of counties in a couple swing states, this country deserves a second Trump presidency.

I think that's partially why Buttigieg keeps using the word "denigrate" when attacking Trump and Vance. If he tries to say it back there's at least a 30% chance he drops the N bomb.

What a read.  Trump thankfully is not in a position of power to sign an EO or do something crazy like declare martial law.  I do fear, however, it will be a few wild months if he loses as they have been setting this up since 2020.  

Let's see, Trump is being out raised with donations, his rallies aren't as big as Harris, and his poll numbers are down. I'd say it's looking pretty grim for Maga. That is until the lawsuits are filed in every state challenging the outcome of the 2024 election with Maga county elections members refusing to certify the election. Bought and paid for by Trump.

Cool.  Infuriating as it is I'm glad because they are going to find out first hand just how impossible it is to actually steal an election from a major United States party that pours millions into counting and defending those very districts.  Especially when both parties see it coming a mile away, not caught with their pants down like Florida 2000.  What they are putting in place is a slew of dooms day devices to shut down valid, counted, supervised votes.  Good luck.

I was huge Kamala fan in 2019-20, she was my #1 pick in the primaries.  Even after her shiving of Biden I was still calling for her as the VEEp pick all the way till the day she got it.  I had absolutely no clue she would be ready for the moment like this.  No clue.
