The tale of two conventions I'm seeing reminds me of the Iliad. The DNc feels like the greek side, stacked to the gills with Agamemnon, Achilles, Odysseus, Nestor, Ajax and a half dozen other dudes that bring it.  The RNc is like Troy, they got Hector, and he's over the hill now.  The amount of talent Trumpism has banished from the GOP has come home to roost, they have been completely hollowed out of any star power that might outshine or contradict the Orange Man and the few remaining like Haley walk on egg shells.

that's weird, most of the people getting caught for cheating have been republicans, and that's not even counting the fake electors.

Trump ordered the bipartisan Immigration deal to be killed so it's not a stretch that he called the Netanyahu and told him not to accept a peace deal because it would hurt him politically. I don't believe Netanyahu is truthful about this at all.

They've stayed away from any infighting and the events outside have been just a minor distraction.

I thought it was still within reach after the debate, but then a Trump win was a foregone conclusion after the assassination attempt. That we're somehow where we're at now is pretty wild. Might be the craziest sequence of events leading to an election in the last 50 years or so.

Many of the tweeters are saying Walz' speech was pretty damn good. I only saw a clip of Amanda Gorman's before I went to bed but will have to check out the Walz one tonight.

And they are hammering Trump hard with the project 2025 business. This strategy is extremely astute and is exploiting a major problem/blunder from Trump and the GOP. Trump has completely distanced himself from it for the 10% that was politically poisonous but the problem is the other 90% is absolutely what he and his minions were planning on doing.  Now he can't run on a single sentence in there for fear of being tied to the whole thing. he has been cut off from the Heritage Foundation at exactly the point of the election when policy comes into focus. Bannon's in jail so who the F is going to form his policy?

 

And no, Trump has not always been policy barren.  The muslim ban, the wall, ripping up NAFTA, he actually won with plenty of at least outlined policy.

Yeah, it was pretty clear to me that Project 2025 would be a great slogan to use as an anti-MAGA type thing and it has proven to be just that.  Also, hell yes about Bannon.  He was the key guy over the last several years in putting their behind the scenes strategy in place and he was the main kingpin in getting all those local stooges in place at the county and state level.

It was. I know we like to slob all over Shapiro for being such a good speaker but Walz is very good in his own right. 

He also had a very sweet and genuine interaction with his son, which is essentially MAGA kryptonite.
