Protests at state capitols that turn violent. Threats to public officials. Basically, 3 months worth on Jan 6th. If Trump loses, he is looking at potential jail time for the rest of his life. He will absolutely pull out all the stops to try and avoid that, and nothing will be off limits. Hate to say it, but I'm sorta hoping someone takes another shot at him to keep this from happening. Again.
August 22, 20241 yr Better put a warning label that you can't stick your D in it. Although Lynch would be too busy trying to stick his tongue down its throat.
August 22, 20241 yr It does look like all this poop tossing pecksniffery has thrown sand in the gears of Walz. A shame really, his military record is something to be proud of but technicalities are becoming things to avoid. His speech last night was noticeably short.

I only saw a clip of Amanda Gorman's before I went to bed but will have to check out the Walz one tonight. He was really good. Apparently that was his first time reading from a teleprompter. All of his former students talking about how great he is, was a powerful touch. He comes across as very midwstern folksy. One thing I've noticed about the tone of this convention is how they are trying to appeal to Trump supporters rather than demonizing them or calling them stupid. He made a lot of references to Trump supporters as our friends and neighbors. It was very smart. This is a very well put together campaign and Harris and Waltz have been very disciplined and on message.

This strategy is extremely astute and is exploiting a major problem/blunder from Trump and the GOP. Trump has completely distanced himself from it for the 10% that was politically poisonous but the problem is the other 90% is absolutely what he and his minions were planning on doing. Now he can't run on a single sentence in there for fear of being tied to the whole thing. he has been cut off from the Heritage Foundation at exactly the point of the election when policy comes into focus. Bannon's in jail so who the F is going to form his policy? And no, Trump has not always been policy barren. The muslim ban, the wall, ripping up NAFTA, he actually won with plenty of at least outlined policy. The Keenan Thompson project 2025 bit was great. For those who missed it...

August 22, 20241 yr Ann's still upset nobody wants to touch that sarlacc pit between her legs. Pretty low calling out a kid who breaks down for his dad. Plus he's autistic. Which makes it even lower.

The amazing thing is that apparently he's never done these kinds of speeches before. Bro didn't even know how to use a teleprompter.
