With all of the measures to stem transmission during the pandemic, at least 3 million people died and that doesn't count the people who couldn't get care because the hospitals were full of COVID patients. You are simply an ignorant person. You know what the most common perspective is of people who are ignorant and wrong? That they think they are right. You are a poster boy of this. Break out the moonshine because it's going to be a rough road till November as you watch your Lord and savior, Donald J. Trump crumple under the bright light of loserness. Sorry for the gilded calf reference in the prior post. It's a story from the old testament and probably not in the new Trump bible you bought. No Trump was correct. There wasn't a thing that could be done and all the draconian measures exponentially extended the impact of Covid. More people have died of Covid under Biden than Trump. That's with vaccines and after the country was shut down multiple times. Just accept the fact that it became a political tool for the Dems and move on.

It was a stupid bill aimed at processing more phony "asylum" claims faster and other nonsense. He could have just kept the Stay In Mexico policy instead of reversing everything Trump did, but TDS exists so he had to blow it just like everything else.

It was a bill written by Republicans with everything Republicans wanted in it. Trump killed the Republican wet dream because not only does he realize that illegal immigration is good for his electoral chances, he also realized that boot lickers like yourself don't actually care about any of the issues you pretend to, you're just cult members doing what you're told.

But the GOP is no longer the party of Reagan, Bush or McCain -- it's a populist party of grievance and stupidity. If the GOP had nominated ANY SANE AND NORMAL Republican, they'd be winning this thing in a landslide. Instead, we have the imbecile clown running for a 3rd time. Hopefully he gets crushed and the GOP becomes a conservative party again. This leads to a question I've been asking -- who or what rises up from the ruins of MAGA? As it stands right now, Harris will win this election, at least the voting portion. Normally certification of an election is ceremonial, but this one will be met with court challenges and a lot of hand wringing because Persistent Dump isn't going to concede, just like he never conceded the last one. The larger question is how many cronies will ride or die with him between November and January? I don't have a crystal ball, but I don't think even Trump can survive politically after two general election losses. Republicans are hungry for power and they'll eventually face that Trump is a losing commodity. I believe the DC Election Interference trial will get back into full swing in early 2025 and I also think the Florida classified documents case dismissal will be overturned on appeal and reassigned to another federal judge. Once that happens I suspect Trump leaves the country. It will take a bit of time but I think his influence over the Party will disappear. Not sure who steps up to rebuild after that point; it will be interesting to see.

August 23, 20241 yr Cognitive Decline? Trump Accidentally Praises Harris’s Record Donald Trump had a Freudian slip on live TV Thursday while discussing President Joe Biden’s administration. In the middle of complaining about Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s foreign policy during a phone interview with Fox News, the Republican presidential nominee accidentally seemed to throw them a huge compliment. "Most importantly, they’ve made our country very safe,” Trump said. "And internationally, they’ve made it even more safe!”

It's just surprising to me but if people who have kids like that and still want to use the word then by all means 🤷♂️ I do. If Mike had a legitimate disability I would feel kinda of bad. I've already stopped making fun of Lynched's drinking problem long ago. Dude needs serious help.

You never know what someone's situation is and the last thing I'd want is for them to feel put down because of how casually the word is thrown around. I typically insult or make fun of the post not the poster.

Not sure who steps up to rebuild after that point; it will be interesting to see. I'll try and put a positive spin on things -- after Nixon resigned following Watergate, people thought the GOP was mortally wounded and would never recover. 6 years later Reagan won in a landslide. It will take another dynamic and charismatic leader -- in 1974, Reagan was finishing his second term as governor of CA and wasn't a name on the national stage politically. Hopefully there is someone out there that will emerge. Kemp, Youngkin and Sununu are three names I'd highlight, but it's probably someone completely unknown. If Trump loses, he likely is convicted in DC and FL. The fight will be for the soul of the GOP -- MAGA will try and elevate Vance, MTG, etc. The real question is what will people like Rubio, Cruz and McConnell do? They are smart and opportunistic, and they will want to be on the winning team. If they start abandoning MAGA, then we have a hope. If they line up behind someone like Vance or Ramaswamy, then the GOP is dead and buried.
