Which is weird since it was the exact opposite before the first debate. But Trump's people realized the less he talks, the better he comes across. Smart of Harris to try and change it back. Trump didn't want the bipartisan Commission to Presidential Debates to moderate the debate format. Instead he wanted to negotiate directly with the networks. August 26, 20241 yr Good thread that talks about the shift in voting eligible population demographics as a result of the post-boomer birth rate drop, which I guess was called the "baby bust". Apparently all polling outfits use demo data that was based on the 2020 census, but that fails to capture a larger than usual shift in VEP age demos and excess deaths in older age groups as a result of covid. TL/DR: We always talk about how unreliable the youth vote is and how much it favors the dems. But due to a unique confluence of factors like this "baby bust" combined with covid deaths in boomer aged voters, we could see an even more favorable overall demo shift towards dems, meaning a smaller turnout is needed from the youth demos to acheive the same result from previous elections.

She wants another "Excuse me, I'm speaking" moment. She doesn't have a stutter issue so less concern of being thrown off by constant interruptions which she can flip and use to her advantage by making him seem impulsive and nervous.
