August 28, 20241 yr Bill Clinton is a unique challenge for the Democratic party. Tradition is to invite former Presidents to speak, and Clinton will always accept and go way over his budgeted time. If they didn't invite him, it would be a terrible look. The hope would be that he, like GWB in 2012, would decide not to attend; but Clinton loves the spotlight. I'm not sure there's a great answer.
