I really can't stand them, and I know many conservatives who agree it's a bridge too far having a total ban. At a minimum, there should be the common three exemptions, but they have become Pharisees. I don't see a national ban ever happening and think many are content to leave it to states to decide outside of those three exemptions, which we may disagree on, but I'm okay with it as long as states don't try to penalize people for jumping borders.

Those officials can't hide in DC and are far more susceptible to their populations. Those states that currently have bans won't, even they will have acknowledge exemptions. They want a national ban and they’ve chosen Trump, who has no actual conviction of his own, to do it. It’s not some secret. They’re very upfront about it.
