Trump Demands ABC Be Shut Down for Daring to Fact Check Debate

The former president called into Fox & Friendson Wednesday morning to complain that he’d faced a "rigged deal” with the debate, with moderators "correcting everything” he said while "not correcting with her.” Asked why he felt moderators hadn’t corrected Harris in the same way, Trump answered: "Because they’re dishonest.”

"I think ABC took a big hit last night,” he continued. "To be honest, they’re a news organization—they have to be licensed to do it. They ought to take away their license for the way they did that.”

Not only did he bring it up, but it was fact checked as false by the moderator. And then Trump proceeded to argue with moderator about immigrants eating pets. So presidential...

Question about this.  Is it the moderators job to fact check during a debate? I'm not sure I had ever noticed that before, but last night both moderators seemed to be doing it.

Voters taking part in a Fox News Digital panel reacting to the debate said that Vice President Kamala Harris came away from the event with a victory.

Asked who they thought won the debate, 12 voters on the panel raised their hand for Harris while just five indicated they believed former President Donald Trump won.

Trump was so bad, he’s just like an old suit from like 1987 right now. He just repeats himself, says the same stuff, and she’s refreshing in that she’s different," the voter said. "I think if he had a different line of attack with her, it would have been more effective."

i don't know if there's an official job description, brah.   but if you think it's okay for a candidate to flat out make up sheet w/o being called out for it, then the late, great hannibal lector would like to have you for dinner!

These assclowns don't want debates, they want rallies.

Coulda stopped there,  brah. Was a legit question.  I had never heard a moderator do that before. Even with Trump on previous debates. But last night, both of them did it a few times.

Why is there a problem with fact checking?

That's not the point.  Nor the question.  I'm asking if it's normal, OR the moderators job, to fact check on the fly during a debate? I'm sure they have some kind of rules they go by? Maybe not.  Who knows.  Did they fact check anything Harris said? I'm sure she said at least 1 thing that was at minimal questionable.  Or do you all think she told facts and 100% truth on everything she said?

Because facts hurt his feelings.
