I am sort of hopeful that idiot Trump cultists will try another January 6th.

Trump won't be in office to delay a response. Instead of a few Capitol police, they will face armed soldiers, and are in for a rude awakening.

I hope you're right.  But you know the man just isn't capable of accepting loss.  So, I fear there is something in the works and he will weasel his fat arse back in there.  Unless someone else takes a shot at him.  Too bad he was allowed to run again, and he stayed out of jail.  Had he conceded in 2020 and none of the BS happened, he'd be winning in a landslide right now.

But, you know it's all different now.  We're living in 2 realities.  His and the real one.

I, for one, believe everything that Matt Gaetz says.

I know, very likely he made up all the whistleblowers for attention. There's just no evidence that FEMA is horribly mismanaged, after all.

Toaster once unironically said J6 was worse than 9/11. Here he is rooting for another day worse than 9/11 for the country.

Biden/Harris have been flooding Western PA with immigrants.

How It Started:

Pittsburgh Becomes 12th Certified Welcoming Place for Immigrant, Refugee and New Americans in the United States

(September 17, 2021)

How It's Going:

New report shows alarming rise in crime in Pittsburgh

(October 18, 2023)

From today:

In the last two years, the migrant population in Pittsburgh has soared by 2,000%, and now it’s reaching crisis levels.

Schools in Charleroi are especially suffering with the number of migrants needing to learn English. The district has already spent $400,000 on English Language Learner (ELL) teachers and interpreters, but it is nowhere near enough to meet the demand.

In Cornell School District – near Coraopolis – ELL class sizes have doubled from just last year. Further south in Ringgold, the school board just approved $142,000 or roughly $7,000 per student for English as a Second Language (ESL) services between 2024-2045.

Welcome to Pittsburgh Obama

Last time, there was a lot of looking the other way, police letting rioters in, and stepping aside.

I guarantee that will not happen if they try again.

Hard not to believe after the whole ABC/Kamala whistleblower dying in a "car crash" scandal right?

I'd vote for Harris twice just so this idiot doesn't get pardoned.

Hey entire sentencing is well worth the listen if you need a morale boost. The Judge absolutely lays into her.

I know he's demented and stupid, but this might be his weirdest obsession to date.

Trump Made Crass Jokes About Death of Rally Attendee in Leaked Recording

Donald Trump was reportedly caught on tape turning the grieving widow of a man who died at one of his rallies into a source of amusement for his uber-wealthy dinner guests.

The recording, obtained by The Guardian, apparently comes from a private meal Trump held Aug. 10 in Aspen, Colorado. In it, the Republican presidential nominee reportedly recalled a meeting with the wife of Corey Comperatore, the man who was killed by shots fired at Trump by Thomas Crooks at a Pennsylvania rally in July.

"So they’re going to get millions of dollars but the woman, the wife, this beautiful woman, I handed her the check—we handed her the check—and she said, ‘This is so nice, and I appreciate it, but I’d much rather have my husband.’ Now I know some of the women in this room wouldn’t say the same,” Trump reportedly said. "At least four couples here would have been thrilled, actually.”

The dinner, which Trump reportedly flew in for in on a private jet once owned by disgraced financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, was held at the $38 million home of art collectors and investors John and Amy Phelan, with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), gambling mogul Steve Wynn, and billionaire Thomas Peterffy also in attendance. There were about 100 attendees at the event, which required couples to pony up $500,000 to serve on the host committee or at least $25,000 to attend at all.

Those who cut checks included Warren G. Lichtenstein, executive chairman of Steel Partners; former hedge fund manager Duke Buchan, who served as ambassador to Spain in Trump’s presidency; Houston billionaires Mindy and Jeff Hildebrand; Drew McKnight, a billionaire donor to the failed No Labels effort; and Andrew McKenna.

A source in attendance told The Daily Beast that Trump, who was then still publicly fuming about Kamala Harris’ crowd sizes in her early days as the nominee, actually appeared "disciplined” and was "funny” in Aspen.

The most unbelievable part of that whole story is Trump claiming he "handed her the check”.

Well......yeah

People at the local, state, and fed level there need to get their crap together. The guy with the chopper the other day was stopped by a county guy. I get trying to coordinate with the FAA so things don't fall out of the sky, but people need to stop creating bottlenecks on the ground.

Say what you want about Glenn Beck, I am not the biggest fan, but the guy sent a bunch of stuff, and they aren't letting him distribute it. An SF medic said he and other responders had a tent set up to render aid, and some local or fed person came over and told them they had to stop. They told her to F off, and she did, and they went back to rendering first aid. Tim Kennedy said he is having problems with the same kind of crap. Again, say what you want about his abrasive/egotistical personality but he's on the ground trying to help, and people are getting in the way, which would be fine if they were doing something, but it seems like they are spending more time telling people to stop than actually rescuing people.

Fun watching Elon be like WTF and Pete say fake news call me, but Elon is still waiting for a DM so his helicopter can land.

This is what you get when you're Trump's fluffer. Now deal with it.

If one would consider the terrain/geography of the disaster area, one might understand that there needs to be a plan.  While I do believe a week is plenty of time for the assessment to be done, they are still under an active search and rescue operation. I hope these stories don't start to spiral out of control.  Things are happening.

Buncombe County officials in a press conference Friday morning said power will soon be restored to thousands more and sites are being set up where people can access hot showers and other resources over the weekend.

Avril Pinder said that the county is working on developing community reception centers over the weekend, which will be set up as locations where people without power and electricity can access hot showers and other resources.

Officials are working to identify sites where the reception centers can be installed allowing them to work efficiently for the maximum number of people.

New York City Fire Department's incident management team of 34 people arrived Friday to help with relief efforts. Incident management teams with FDNY are trained to manage large, complex emergencies efficiently.

More than 1,000 first responders from across the country were in Buncombe County to help with the response.

Bill Norton, a spokesperson with Duke Energy, said restoring power continues to be a challenge and a priority and that the company has 21,000 line workers deployed across the state.

"The good news is our crews have repaired more than 1.2 million outages in North Carolina. That allows us to bring even more crews to western North Carolina to the hardest hit part of the state, where tens of thousands remain without electricity," he said.

The greatest challenge to restoring electricity continues to be a lack of access as many roadways have been flooded or washed out, and large pieces of infrastructure need to be completely replaced.

He said he expects an additional 27,000 homes in the Buncombe region to have power restored by Friday and an additional 67,000 homes to have power restored by Sunday. Currently there are 170,000 without power.
