Even with revisions it's way up.

Nevermind the fact that if there some was number pumping to make the economy look better they wouldn't have issued a correction of that magnitude.

ADP's job report, which is more stable though only a subset of total US jobs, also posted a big jump in September.

I'm sure there's plenty of anecdotes out there about how cousin Jimbo was laid off and can't find work. But overall the economy is strong.

That's just a fact.

And the investment in manufacturing and other infrastructure from Biden's legislation is still out there with its ROI. Whoever is president the next four years has a fairly primed economy.

Get the ef'ing debt under control and we might be able to start turning this Titanic away from a financial iceberg at least enough not to crash and end the game.

Yeah but he was told food is expensive now, so he has no choice but to crawl through glass to vote for the guy proposing 10-20% tariffs on all goods.

If it's produced here tariffs aren't a problem. Tariffs built the US.

but did they build it on rock... and... rolllllllllllllllllllllllllll?

Tariffs will increase the cost of domestic goods as well nimrod. Because that's how markets work.

Less food will be imported, and food that comes in will be more expensive. Meaning the food produced domestically will sell for more.

Tariffs cause inflation you economic illiterate.

If we need help avoiding DUI checkpoints or the whereabouts of the Fratelli gang we'll ask. Otherwise sit your ass at the kiddie table and stfu.

It's really sad what they keep doing to this old man. He should be in a nursing home, with orderlies feeding him applesauce next to Procus. But instead they keep pushing him out on stage so he can humiliate himself like this. They should be ashamed.

Agree with some of that. We've both said some nasty crap to each other that we both meant, but there is still a good guy I like in there. Trump's not a nice guy, and I think you and others are pissed off people would enable another 4 years of what you see as dangerous to you, your family, and the country you love. I get it. There are no shades of gray in this election, but there is another side who sees her as dangerous to our families and our lives. Neither side is going to get it or respect the other for thinking that. I don't know who is going to win, but the other side will be apoplectic in four weeks. If I was betting my life on it, I'd say Harris wins. And yes, I mean wins. I may troll the crap out of some of you about fraud, but I said Biden won on election night and meant it. If people don't remember I said it I enjoy f'ing with them. We'll see what happens.

The bolded statement is the most ridiculous idea, and frustrating thing about our country today. No tolerance for one another's personal differences.

Its pretty easy to understand that different people in varying situations and areas of the country, with varying backgrounds, and socioeconomic status are going to vote for the candidate that sounds most beneficial to them. And that neither Trump, nor Kamala is the perfect candidate for everyone. Some will want Kamala policies, and some will want Trump policies.

Its ridiculous to hold that against someone. And its certainly not respectful to our democracy that these people claim to want to protect.

No room in my real life for people who want to be a-holes to others about who they are voting for. I come here to bother these idiots, because their attitudes make them deserving of a thorn in their side. Some of the people we have posting in CVON are literal scum.

Normally you only jump in in weak attempts to white knight for your furry friend. Today, you are going at it alone so I can tell a nerve has been struck.

Careful. You're about to get owned too.

DHF has done such a good job the last couple of days, I have hardly even had to post in here.

Bye week musing:

Since Musk is going to campaign with Trump in PA tomorrow, and Obama is going to appear with Kamala as well, could we ever possibly get an Obama vs Musk debate? That would be funny to watch.
