February 13, 20242 yr I’m loving the Hield/Maxey backcourt. If Embiid manages to get back for the playoffs, they just might have something.

Morey didn't do enough at the deadline but they MAY still have a shot. Coulda had a better chance, but a slim chance may still exist.
February 13, 20242 yr Anyone see the discussion with Mitchell after the game? Maxey, Hield, Mitchell No D but does it even matter?

February 13, 20242 yr Just got my ricky council autograph card for 25 with shipping and taxes. It's not a holo. 2 holos that I tried for before this went in the 50 dollar range. People are paying up like this is a sure thing to appreciate. It may also be worth about 10 cents.
February 13, 20242 yr When/if the team ever gets healthy, these starting 5 and 2nd 5 lineups are very, very good. Contender worthy. The question is if they were better with Beverly over Lowry. We will see how Lowry plays here. And if Covington ever comes back- might have to replace him with someone like Gallinari.
February 13, 20242 yr Probably can’t rely on Roco or Batum. Melton is questionable too. That is assuming Joel comes back this year and stays healthy for the playoffs.

I love that starting 5 if healthy. Also, don't sleep on Cam Payne
February 14, 20242 yr So did I read correctly that Butler, Rozier, Harris, Melton, Batum and Lowry are all out? That obviously doesn't include Embiid and RoCo. I assume Maxey is good to go. Otherwise any point buying tickets for the game tonight? Also explains why I saw someone selling their courtside seats for 350ish a piece

February 14, 20242 yr The Golden State Warriors only ended up making one small deal at the trade deadline, but they tried to make a mega deal as they inquired with the Los Angeles Lakers on a trade for LeBron James. Draymond Green made the initial push to the team's ownership and management, before also consulting Rich Paul, who represents both Green and James. Joe Lacob had a conversation with Jeanie Buss about the idea. Buss told Lacob that the Lakers had no desire to trade James, but referred the Warriors to discuss it directly with James' representation. James and Paul said that he preferred to remain with the Lakers. Rob Pelinka also confirmed that the team had no desire to trade their superstar. One notable aspect is that these trade discussions started with the teams' owners. That indicates a level of seriousness that is generally not present in initial conversations. The other notable thing is that the Lakers left the decision up to James on whether or not trade talks should happen. The Warriors could revisit their pursuit of James in the offseason as he holds a $51.4 million player option.
February 14, 20242 yr Dunleavy was the second team executive call to Pelinka on a possible James trade, sources said. After seeing James' cryptic social media post of an hourglass a week before the trade deadline, Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey called Pelinka to probe on a James trade and was immediately told that James wasn't available. In fact, Pelinka responded by asking Morey if Joel Embiid was available, sources said. And that ended that brief conversation. These sorts of bold trade calls are historically a common practice for Morey, who also called the Phoenix Suns and asked about a trade for Durant prior to the deadline, sources said. When told no, Morey then asked about the availability of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, too. Unsurprisingly, those were rebuffed as well, sources said.
