How nice would it be to have a young, cheap, bench guy in Council for the next few years?

Buddy’s cooking!

Maxey might miss his first all star game.

Cam Payne has one of the ugliest shots I've seen since Ben Simmons

Maxey is ok. Cam has a terrible looking shot but he is a decent back up PG.

That should be basket interference

They lost

Hopefully a few come back from injury after the break.

If they can get either Melton or Batum back and they can stay healthy (big if), that should be enough in the short term to get some wins. Council is growing up before our eyes. He doesn’t play like a rookie.

Melton isn't a game changer and will take Ricky minutes if anything. Sixers have a lot of, he is okay type guys.

Helps Ricky is 22 and yet teams in later half of the 1st and in 2nd round still draft off potential instead of good basketball players.

Third toughest schedule remaining in the East and 9th overall. It will be a hang on type situation

I think it's going to be tough for them to hang onto a playoff spot above the play in also nearly impossible to fall far enough to finish out of the play in.   Without Embiid, they are approximately the same caliber of team as the play in level teams.

I think the 11 game lead over the Nets, the first team out of the play in, is probably too substantial for them to lose, unless Maxey were to get a long term injury, but not impossible.  That said, they are going to lose the majority of their games against legit contenders and they don't have many games left against the dregs of the league, two against the Hornets and one each against the Grizzlies, Spurs, and Pistons.  Every other game is against the play in tier or better.  It could get ugly.

If Harris, Batum and Melton come back healthy after the break, I think they’ll stay out of the play in. If two or more or those guys miss substantial time, they’ll be in the play in.

Oubre not happy with his role in the Miami game. A little veteran leadership gone, and now instead of immaculate vibes its criticism. Lets see how this plays out.

Getting up 14 shots a game, what more does he want. Probably jealous of the looks Ricky is getting as well

Gallinari to the Bucks

I don’t feel like listening. Is he referring to Oubre and Tobi?

Just a random thought about this roster. Id be very happy to see Hield re-signed but split up Tobi's money in to 2 capable players.

Maxey and Hield will be a very good scoring back court. Both can handle and buddy distributes very well for a 2 guard. You have Embiid's scoring as well.

Batum is old and Tobi can be improved on. The goal with his money would be to get a 3 and a 4 who just fit well. They dont need to carry any sort of load. They just need to fill a role. Maybe stretch the floor, maybe rebound, and certainly defend.

Retaining Hield basically equals the 6ers signing the best free agent available next summer. So the focus should then shift to rounding out the rest of the roster nicely. It wont. Morey will go for some star.

Just saying...

Another thought- Morey's big star trade acquisition may be Karl Anthony-Towns.

People seem to think a KAT trade is going to happen.

After the small ball revolution, some teams have had success swinging the pendulum back the other way with 2 big lineups.

KAT certainly stretches the floor well enough to start alongside Embiid, and gives you all the stability you could ever hope for while Embiid misses games, as well as more long term as an Embiid replacement.

The Beverly comment is interesting because that is a complete 180 from the way things were described in philly earlier this season. The team was moving the ball. Everyone was scoring. Oubre was looking like a great teammate loving the philly vibes. Beverly was leading the young guys. And it was specifically said on more than one occasion that there are no egos this year, and everyone is happy for everyone else.

Im surprised and disappointed that its apparently not what way anymore.

It seems to fit with Oubre's complaint that he was in the corner all game vs Miami. But I also wonder if its not pointed at Embiid chasing his streaks, and scoring marks.

Dude Maxey, Hield, who cares, Kat, Embiid line up would dominate.

How are you getting KAT without trading Maxey or a sign and trade with Hield?

Morey will have no talent left on this roster to trade.

The main attraction will have to be 4 first round picks.

The other thing they can do is absorb bad salary since they will have a ton of room.  I don't think Minnesota has a bad contract they'll want to get rid of but That's how they can get talent put in to the deal. Bring in a 3rd team.  Get in a 3rd team to send a player to Minnesota.  Accept a bad contract from that team.  Come on down Zach LaVine.

Maxey, LaVine, Hield, KAT, Embiid.
