Well looks like he is already going down that path blaming the sixers for his issues and by the looks of it he is gonna pull the same BS as the rockets and nets. Have I ever told you how much I hate him? Lol.

Lol. He and his agent are morons. They are both delusional about where he is at in his career and what he is.

This is Morey we are talking about. His man crush for Harden blinds him to the obvious.

Oh the irony isn't lost either. Morey a guy that got his start because of analytics and started the Sloan Conference, refuses to look at the data.

Down to 6.2 FT attempts this year, when the previous 3 years were 8.2, 8, and 8.9. Harden is losing his first step.

He can't get the BS calls from him flailing like a jack ass anymore either

He should have a few more good years in him. He is only in his early 30s but he parties and spends his time doing what he wants vs sports nutrition and work.

I don’t disagree with that statement. He has declined faster cause of that. But I also think he believes he can still be Houston James Harden. That is not the case anymore. He stated he sacrificed last year what he could be offensively. That is really not the case. They utilized what talent he has now as opposed to what he was four or five years ago. He seemingly does not understand that. He is not the scorer he was four or five years ago. He doesn’t have the same burst consistently. If he wants to maximize his talent that is left and make the most money he can then it is actually being more of a facilitator (lead the league in assists) then being the player he was in Houston.

Add on if he believes he is going to be able to be Rockets James Harden on the clippers with Kawhi and Paul George there then it is pretty laughable. Because he is not going to be the number one option unless both of those guys are hurt.

I don't think he cares about being the #1 he has shown he can adapt and be more of a distributor but then he falls into his old ways.

He lost his first step. That is what made him elite and it's slowly gone

He has commented that he wants freedom to get back to playing his style of basketball.

To me that reads that he wants to go be a scorer.

Which he can't do.

I think Harden believes the best way any team can win with him, is doing what they did in Houston with him. I think he fully believe that if the Sixers would’ve let him do more of what he did with the Rockets that they would’ve been better off. I think that’s the reason why he had issues with doc and talked about sacrificing. It’s because the doc like Nick nurse doesn’t want the offense to be that way. Meanwhile, I think he believes it has to in order to maximize him.

The fact that he mentioned sacrificing his abilities/style multiple times towards the end of the season then right after the season for the betterment of the team. That tells me he thinks the offense should be ran differently and more like when he was with the rockets and that he believes he can still be that guy

he also talked about sacrificing for the betterment of the team during the playoffs and right after. He was likely alluding that he believed he was better suited to be the scorer and wanted to play a style that allowed him to be that. And there’s been rumors that came out part of the reason he had issues with doc was because he made him play his style which didn’t think maximize him which was being more of a distributor

Doc said on a podcast that Harden was a playmaker and that is when the team was better. Harden went back to his old ways and team was worse.

Unfortunately harden is an idiot and thinks that his old ways is how he needs to be used and will work over the long haul. It’s why i don’t think he and nick nurse would work.  like doc he wants him as a playmaker i see nurse if forced to have him wants that harden. It’s why it was always destined to fail with doc.

Just conspiracy theory i think part of why harden didnt want doc to succeed was he thought he was coming back. and if doc got to the ECF he’d also be back. So he’d continue to be used the way he didn’t want to be used.

There’s actually harden homers on Twitter that believe harden is gonna get 2 years $90 mil next offseason. Lol. There’s no chance i see him getting $45 mil per season for 2 years. Their logic is Kyle Lowry. Lowry was lucky he got the contract he did and i think teams see at 35 he was basically didn’t live up to the contract.plus new cba i think teams are less likely to want to spend that type of money on a 35 year old who believes he should be a scorer and doing it his.

Part of the reason he opted in was teams weren’t lining up to sign him this year. And i don’t think many teams were wanting to sign and trade for him with a new contract. They wanted the 1 year opt in for 23-24 and if it didn’t work out cleared $41 mil ($5 mil trade kicker). I could see some team 2 year $50 mil if he plays well this year. But if he’s a diva then i could see it even worse for him.

If they had a bigger guard besides Maxey, I would take Rozier back as well as your 6th man for Harris.

Imagine

Haliburton and Maxey with Rozier as your 6th man, Morey should be at the stakes for that non trade.

League has never been deeper with young talent and the Sixers have just Maxey and 3 1st round draft picks till 2030.

At some point, the stockpile of assets had to be spent. They aimed to be up while most of the rest of the league was down. Milwaukee was doing it at the same time. And LA can always retool quickly due to location and prestige. But they timed it right. As Golden State faded, the 6ers should have been primed to take over at the top.

The issue is that they just did a really bad job.

Yup. And ownership didn’t help things. allowing the nba to dictate how they were running things and ownership also just sucks in general.

Williams should’ve really said this to brown

More jersey sales for lebron 🙄

He can’t do anything on this own. Picks the numbers of legends and picks his team to win championships.

"I’m glad they was able to match the offer," Reed said while on The John Kincaide show in Philadelphia. "That’s not a place that I had in mind, but business is business."

Reed said he's preparing the upcoming season by diversifying his game. He said he's been taking "like 700" jumpers a day to add range to his shot. Reed is hopeful of being able to play at the 4 more often this season.

"We did it last season against the Bucks. Very limited, but I feel like we didn’t look bad. We didn’t look bad," Reed said. "It was hard to score on us. We were getting a lot of rebounds. I think we can mess up a lot of teams with that combination."
