Now down to just 11 snaps. Are we still foolishly trying to act like this guy is an asset when the Eagles are giving him LESS playing time.

The percentage is the same. There were less total defensive snaps. But your question would be better answered later --- especially if injuries play a role. Maybe you should write Howie a letter. He isn't losing any sleep right now.

Graham got 17 last game too. Davis played significantly more. Smith still got 6 in the shortened game. Barnett’s numbers dropped. His percentage dropped. I know it’s hard for you to admit it, but this guy isn’t being the force you guys were claiming he was. He for darn sure isn’t getting 7-8 sacks.

Week 1 --- 20%

BG 27%, 26%, 36%. Not everyone stayed the same.

That wasn't the argument. You said he (Barnett)  had less snaps (true). I said he played his normal percentage (true).

He did play less snaps. And the point is other people are getting them. I wouldn’t be surprised if Smith passes him this season and soon. Heck Smith played far less and had more of an impact that Barnett. Did Barnett do anything noteworthy with his eleven snaps?

I’ll do you one better. I won’t post about this bum again until he actually makes a play.

Massively salty Barnett haters.

He’s not played as much as I expected. Nor has BG or Smith. He’s been solid when he has played. They are playing the DTs at DE a bit.

He’s unlikely to get more than a handful of sacks playing that little. Reddick, Graham and Smith also have none. I get why he wanted to be traded. He would play a lot more on most other teams.

Eagles will and probably should keep him around as a role player and as insurance.

Sorry bud, but what am I hating? What is he doing to hate? By the way you’re the one who set unrealistic expectations on this guy, because you’re the one who expected 7-8 sacks out of him. I would be lying if I told your he’s performing completely like I expected though. By now I would have expected at least one unnecessary roughness penalty that extends a third down drive. So far that hasn’t happened and I’ll give him props for that. Him going out there and being invisible is better than him going out there and committing stupid penalties. He’s just so predictable when he’s out there. He performs the same spin move that fools no one. Like I don’t know maybe this is on the Eagles DL coach, but they couldn’t try and teach him another move by now? Overall he’s not an indispensable cog or an irreplaceable backup. He’s just a guy.

Since you already broke your word, I'll give you the play that redeems you (per your conditions) :

Barnett with the pressure that forced a terrible throw.

  It’s funny cause you think that weak pressure by Barnett mattered in that play. He wasn’t rushed, didn’t get hit, and he didn’t disrupt his passing lane. He’s irreplaceable though. I guess we have to grab onto something to justo though. So nice pressure. 😂🤣😂

I think that's just poor field vision by Mayfield, as he never saw Reed spying him. I won't deny that Barnett was getting pressure, but it didn't make him rush the throw imo.

LOL I think the hate Barnett is getting is funny. I hope we can trade him somewhere and get good value in return.

Wonder who’s going to lose snaps for him to get more snaps?

Smith looks a little more comfortable out there. I hope he does get more and more snaps.

That's a potential 13 sacks!

It's time to ship him out

What do you mean? @ManchesterEagle said this guy was 7-8 sacks this season easy and you can’t just get that from anyone! Apparently not even from him.

Has he even played this season??

He played in this game. You didn’t see him?

Why is this stiff still on the team?  Howie has to cut bait with his former first round mistake.  It is way overdue

He gives the better players a chance to rest for a few snaps so they can be more effective when they are in.

There were a few dropped passes, a deep pass where the WR slowed down, some bad passes, missed blocking assignments, INTs, strange play-calling,  a fumble, a missed FG, several penalties and a few injuries in today's loss and people still want to gripe about the depth at a position that played well today.

I will somewhat agree with you here, because Barnett had nothing to do with this loss. There is plenty of blame to go around in this one, but it’s hard to put any of that blame on the defensive line. That’s not to say Barnett played well though. He really didn’t do anything other than give some guys a breather.

Barnett’s been invisible all season. He sucks but at least he hasn’t hurt us with one of his stupid penalties.
