You just slandered a majority of the Philly electorate in the 70's.    But yeah, you're really a Republican.

I guess all Rizzo supporters when he was mayor were Republicans in that case even though they were registered Democrats.

I don't know who Rizzo is, but I mean I'm not breaking news here.  You carry a Republican president's balls in your mouth, you're still diligently working to stop the steal, you defend fascist Russian dictators, you live in Florida...you're a Republican.

he's speaking of frank rizzo (former philly mayor and police commissioner), who was a racist and switched political parties from dem to gop at the end of his career, so wilson goode wouldn't beat him a 2nd time in the democratic mayoral primary.

only to lose to goode in the general election.

think about that, he lost to the guy that burnt down multi city blocks when he authorized dropping a bomb on a house that was part of a standoff with MOVE members.

Oh, okay.  Just looked him up.  I like how his proof that he's not a Republican is that he voted for a Democrat (who switched to a Republican) in the 70's.  It's too bad there haven't been any elections in the last 50 years or he would've had an opportunity to switch parties to one that more aligned with his beliefs.

Actually, Rizzo was on track to beat Rendell in 1992 before he died.  A lot of the African American population in the city was fed up with Wilson Goode and was ready to vote for him.  Rizzo was even in negotiations with Lucien Blackwell to make him the city's managing director if he won.  I think the city was much better off with Rendell at that stage.

Or if they're being truthful in their poll responses.

You are not important enough to lie to. This is your problem, you think you are.

Been registered a registered republican for decades and  vote that way about 75 percent of the time in local and state elections.

Political identity is interesting. My wife is generally more liberal than I am, and always votes for democrats. She refuses to register with a political party.

The People Who Hate People Party. It's so hard to get my people together.

Glad to have you, @mikemack8.  I could feel you starting to turn for a while now.

independent = embarrassed to admit they're registered members of the cheeto party!

I'm actually further left than Democrat, but that was the closest option for me that was listed.

I think the Green Party's still around. You should look into it.

Republicans - no surprises there . . .  Especially among those staunch conservatives Hunt, Alpha and Booger

We've always had open primaries, the concept of having to register with a political party seems really weird to me.

It really sucks. I'd prefer not having to register, but the state parties in CA have made the primaries closed for national elections. For local elections, the top 2 vote getters in the primary go on to the general, regardless of party.

I'll vote for Christie in the primary most likely, or Scott if there is an actual chance he could win. I really wish I could find Ramaswamy viable, but he's a complete loon and authoritarian. Hard pass.
