November 27, 20232 yr According to Tra Thomas, the first pressure given up by Driscoll was actually on Jurgens, who messed up the protection. Driscoll was expecting help to his inside, and Jurgens ended up not blocking anyone on the play.

They'll bring Johnson back next year, unless Hurts pulls a Rodgers, they'll point to the leap he took in year 2 with Steichen and stand pat.

November 27, 20232 yr Johnson is really, really good at looking at what the defense is doing and figuring out a way to beat it. He's also been really, really bad at just coming out of the gate strong and creating his own momentum. It's gonna come back to bite us one day, but so far we've been able to make it work.

Siri does a lot of the planning and designs. Let's not leave him out of the equation. He's signing off on this stuff personally.

It stopped working the moment teams figured out that Hurts isn't trying to run as much. They went all out early to stop Hurts leaving gaping holes for the backs. Now they're like F Hurts he's not running.

Not gonna get blowouts when the offense is just 3-and-outs and turnovers, giving the other team a short field. The score yesterday should have been 7-3 at halftime if not for the 2 dumb turnovers. That was not on the defense.

You make fair points. And I am in no way excusing BJ from the Offenses small woes. I just want to see the TO's decreased and a more consistent and balanced Offense. The previous OC wasn't too great his first year either, but man, did he hit it in his 2nd year. So I will for sure give BJ more time.

Dumb penalties, not on the same page, missing assignments all culminate into a frustrating offense. The talent helps them over come the mistakes but they've been far from clean and Hurts would agree. That botched hand off started with Jurgens totally missing the blitzer to help Kelce. Hurts should have just ate it but that started up front with a missed assignment. Just one of many examples this year where the players haven't executed. Gotta lay some of the blame on the players when the offense stalls out or there are senseless turnovers. Play calling can't over come that.

I don't love Johnson but I wouldn't wish the Carolina job on anybody. That owner sucks.
