Something noteworthy as we complain about the offense needing to perform better.

They're ranked 3rd in the league in scoring points per game, behind the Cowboys and Dolphins.  Meanwhile, the defense is 20th in the league in points against.  Those blowout wins we'd like to see will come when the defense reduces the opponents points.

Yeah agreed. Johnson takes all the abuse but Desai gets off easy considering the D is below average in yards and points.

Hopefully they get it together with the secondary being healthy and playing together more.

I hope Brian Johnson understands the extreme importance of establishing the run today.

been saying it all season, the guy is a bum. all this talent on offense and they struggle coming out of the gate every week. doesn’t matter who they play either. it’s the same thing every game.

Dude sucks. Team couldn't even pass on a prevent defense.

His playcalling is atrocious. It got Hurts hurt today. He ran the ball with his backs 9 times to 24 passes in the first half. Not winning many games like that. I’d be okay if he gets a job elsewhere.

I’ll answer that for you… nope he did not.

Well, he is in way over his head. All he wants to do is showcase his friend Jalen. Just throw, throw, throw, and run Jalen run. It's a dumb approach and Hurts is going right along with it. He should be protesting. Demand what's best for the TEAM. Demand to establish the run and then and ask for play designs that allow him to get rid of the ball quick. Slants and crossing routes work great most of the time. We throw 2 or 3 a game if we're lucky. It's stupid.

SF has linebackers that don't miss tackles, when a hole looks like it's there, it's quickly filled, you need power runners for a D like that, the Eagles have finesse runners that possess little to no power, they need gaping holes to consistently run the ball well.

Maybe Mr. Peanut head will figure out that our running game is not championship caliber and he'll do something about it..

As of now, this OC sucks!!

Swift had 6 carries??!?!?

Horrible game!  Both Defense and offense need to step up next week.   They both took the game off today.

Now, I am questioning whether we have thw talent(RBs, OC and DC) to take the next leap.

We have yet to play a complete game this year!  I don't think we have even come close!  Wonder if we even can.

There is absolutely no question that Johnson needs to be shown the door

The verdict is still out on Desai, once Shanahan was able to exploit the middle of the field, he just continued to twist the knife, you have to respect that mentality.

He had the offense clicking in 1st qtr but ever since then he tried to kill it and go for the big plays afterwards time and time again. He was so predictable I was even calling the plays before they happened. He went away from what was working before it stopped working.

Is it really BJ, though? These first qrtrs in the last few games and especially this game looks like Birds vs Whiners three or so years ago, when they refused to run.

So is it Siri? Who knows? One thing is certain is that Philly totally went away from what was working in the 1st qtr which was eating up the middle with AJ and Smitty. BJ or whoever was calling the game got to cocky trying to hit the deep ball every other play. That was totally unnecessary

Honestly, I can totally see that comi6grom Siri.  I like Siri but he's a high powered cheerleader that probably overruled the calls or had heavy influence on going for the kill every other play. All we had to do was maintain control across the middle. Whoever is responsible for offense play calling was trying to hit the big play every time

Exactly

Johnson getting killed, but Desai’s unit gave up 21 unanswered, and couldn’t stop the, 90 yard drive for a late second half score only to let them March right down the field to score again and after the Eagles finally answered offensively, the defense let them score again. I don’t even think Gannon’s defense got embarrassed like that.

Spot on... time to start looking at Siri and the people that are influencing the coordinators to scheme things up the way that they are. My biggest gripe is the lack of designed runs that aren't RPO.

Johnson performed his usual par.

- No attempt at establishing the run.

- Max protect, 2-player routes that are easily covered, have no outlets, and force hurts to throw the ball away

- qb draw inside the red zone.

but as bad as Johnson’s par was…. He wasn’t anywhere near to the main problem. The main problem tonight was Sean desai and gotdamn Vic fangio scheme, coupled with godawful lb play and tackling fails.

I agree. I’m no Johnson fan, but Desai and the D have been getting way too much of a pass.

Allowing 6 TD drives in a row is pathetic and gave Hurts no chance.

The D is now a bottom 10 unit in respect of both points and yards. Yes there is undoubtedly a talent issue at safety and linebacker, but the D shouldn’t be this bad.

They couldn’t even pass the ball at the end when San Fran was in prevent. There’s definitely a problem and it starts with the playcalling.

Desai is just as bad. Both coordinators are bailed out by the 10 wins. If it wasn’t for that we’d be talking about them possibly getting fired. Instead both are top coaching candidates… gtfo
