December 4, 20231 yr Please take the designed QB run on 3rd and long and delete it from the playbook. It's stupid and it doesn't fool anyone.

This offense is so vanilla it's disgusting. We run the same 15 plays over and over again. All the routes take decades to develop and we seem to refuse to use quick routes and hot reads. That QB draw in the Red zone is so old at this point. We have run it every week, sometimes more than once. I can't believe the Bills let that beat them.
December 4, 20231 yr This coaching staff did not have the players ready to take on an elite NFL team. The result was the Eagles got their rear ends kicked all over the field. The HC didn't have anyone ready. The OC's play calling and his game plan were terrible. The DC's play calling and game plan were even worse. the HC didn't oversee any meaningful adjustments at halftime. The fact that the Eagles have NO, as in NONE, as in ZERO starting quality LB'ers, (let alone any Pro Bowl or All-Pro LB'ers) was once again on display, and it cost the Eagles heavily. Howie Roseman needs to fix that moving forward. We should have at least 3 of them who can actually play football effectively. Cunningham is their best LB'er and his production shows that he's a very average starter on a good day. There are more personnel issues to be dealt with as well, but when the Coordinators are as dumb as these guys are, what's the point. They won't let the players fully succeed anyway. Please NFL, hire away these two Coordinators as HC's somewhere...please.

My biggest gripe is the lack of designed runs that aren't RPO. Analytics sadly are the influence. Analytics tell howie and Lurie that safe bend but dont break D gives them higher chances at winning. Analytics tell howie and lurie that passing gives them higher chance at winning So lurie and Howie hire coaches that will follow the game plan generated by the analytics. Fun right...😒

December 4, 20231 yr Imagine calling a run play more than 10x in one game? We'd be unstoppable...I know, I know, I'm dreaming

December 4, 20231 yr People way overrated he importance of play calling. Play design and scheme and game planning are way more important. During the week is when you dissect what weaknesses you want to attack and you analyze your opponent. If you do that poorly, it's going to be hard to win games. If you execute well and have good play design, any play can work. We saw that in week 2 where the Eagles ran the same run play the entire 2nd half and the Vikings couldn't stop it because they executed it. This team never schemes anyone open, almost ever. That's play design. That's the head coach. This team comes out slow and has to come from behind in almost every game,. That's game planning. That's the head coach. The head coach dictates how often he wants his team to run and pass. It's based off the weekly game planning and prep. Do people really think that the Eagles go into games and Brian Johnson just picks random plays from a play sheet like he's selecting items from a buffet? He calls plays based on game plans... which have sucked. People just don't want to call out Sirianni because they like him. It's hard to say he's been bad this year because they're 10-2, but he has not been as good as last season. He's made dumb in game decisions all season, like scoring a TD at the end vs Washington twice giving them a chance to win, not punting vs the Patriots, awful clock management vs Dallas. They've gotten away with it. They've come into games way worse than last season. Out of sync, clunky, confused. This all falls on the head coach. It's his team, his operation.

December 4, 20231 yr This team currently has three distinct plays: Run Left Deep Ball Pass...QB's Choice Brotherly Shove My kid's 4-6 flag team had a more prolific offensive attack last season.

Siri literally just has to adopt the same offense we had in 2021 and we are probably unbeatable. Ie run the ball 40 times a game.
December 4, 20231 yr 2 hours ago, Talonblood said: Bring back Frank Reich. I wonder if Sirianni REALLY would welcome a more experienced coach like that. They ran the ball with Blount a lot and Adjaye, and worked off of that. Seems like there would be a lot of bumping heads.

I mean, not even good enough to get some reps in garbage time against SF? I don't think he's an every down back with his injury history...but getting the guy some carries to try to mix it up in the running game sounds like a good idea to me.

Pisses me off seeing that man on the sideline watching when we have 3 Oompa Loompas of similar build and running style trying to be physical between the tackles going no where.
