Jalen cuts out the turnovers and the Eagles will be fine.

Yep, he would be perfect in Jacksonville 😆

You guys continue to crack me up. Hurts is his best when his feet are utilized. Everybody after last year was all, "We need to keep our best player healthy and not utilize his running ability near as much." Now that they convinced him to "protect himself" you are all complaining that he's not good enough...

On a side note, he's still very young for NFL QB standards and has a lot of growth ahead of him. The expectations around here are completely unrealistic.

One word… yup

Starting to wonder if this is true.

The second stringers looked better today than the first team. Mariota was seeing receivers and making plays. If Brown isn't open, the play is a bust for Hurts. He's got no field vision. Some or all of this may be coaching. When the game was lost, and they abandoned their stupid system, they started making plays, gaining yards, and scoring.

Hurts may be calm and collected on the outside, but he's playing like a nervous wreck.  Bad decisions and forcing throws.  It's mostly on the offensive scheme and play calling IMO, but he's crumbling under the pressure.  Needs the off season to get his head right.

I agree the scheme and play calling has been really bad. But Hurts is playing badly right now so it’s also hard to determine just how bad the scheme and play calling is. It’s all a mess.

this is correct.  hard to figure out.  the offense scheme is terrible, but hurts hasn't really been good either.  has this scheme been tailored to hurts?  If so that's a huge indictment on hurts.  Nothing makes sense.  Although lack of audibles and hurts lack of vision of the field do seem to indicate he has some severe limitations in the passing game.  couple that with the fact that his college team basically gave up on him, and I'm not optimistic here with him.  sure he's still somewhat young and could grow out of these problems, maybe.

I do think there’s a lack of creativity to this offense. I do think they rely too much on guys winning their match ups (which I know you need to do to an extent). But they have had open guys that Hurts either hasn’t seen or hasn’t gone to or just isn’t going through his reads properly. We know Hurts is capable of playing at a high level no doubt. So I think they need a new offense with a new play caller so we can determine where the real issues lie.

Dude is a BUM

Needs a different voice in his ear too. He needs someone who’s going to help him before a play. I’m not sure BJ is able to do that. Hurts has regressed big time and that may be on him or his limitations but we need to find that out. Only way to do that is to change the OC and to freshen up this offensive scheme.

I did wonder if last season was his high water mark.

Is this year just a case of him regressing to his norm ?

Truly hope not and that he can get back to the best version of himself.

Because I'm not sure if the Eagles can afford another bad QB contract so soon.

I want to believe in Hurts but that same old monotone press conference has gotten old fast.

Whatever happens next, we have to get Hurts back on track.  Simply too much talent on that side of the ball to play such weak situational football.  Maybe a new OC will help.  If he can't get it going next year, then that may be the end of the line here in Philly.

I believe in him and his growth. He cut down on the turnovers from early season. The offensive scheme has been garbage all season, but the offense hasn't had much of an issue moving the ball, especially when Swift gets going. Bring in a new O coordinator that plays to Hurts' strengths and lets get this rolling again. The team still won 11 games, beating multiple playoff teams and putting up points on offense in most of those games.

He went from 11 carries per game to 9.2

Not much of a drop off, at all. He's just regressed back to the mean.
