Well it's been a bad three weeks. Hopefully the Birds can put this behind them and go on a last mini-run before the playoffs.  Now it's down to beating Tommy Devito twice, Gannon and Kyler Murrary.   If San Fran wins two more games than the #1 Seed will be locked up for them.  Dallas still has two more Road games including Dolphins and a Home game against the Lions.  There is no excuse, they should still finish 13-4.  But there is a lot to clean up and nothing will be easy with two Division Games in 3 weeks.   Luckily 2 of the 3 games are at Home and the last one in NY.  Defense played better but they can't give up a 90 yard drive when you have Drew Lock backed up.   Again Eagles actually rushed the ball over 170 Yards.  But they have to cash in the redzone.  Pete Carroll has our number.  With that said both INT's should have been called back. PI on Quez and his toe did not touch on the last one. It is was it is.

would say he is somewhere in between?!

Probably, but we're paying him as if he's one of the best. He isn't. He can't read a field and needs a stacked offense/easy schedule to be competent.

We're not going to win a SB with him unless the defense is built to carry us.

They absolutely can win out and get the 2 or 3 seed, it just doesn't ultimately matter.

Its fair to take a swipe at the Eagles for the DC move.   BUT, at the same time, it isn't just the personnel either.  Both can be bad.  And both ARE bad.

100% agree. They hired an inexperience DC that turned out to be bad. And replaced him with Patricia who frankly wasn’t very good when he didn’t have belichick by his side.

That said even if they get a better defensive coordinator in the offseason, i still believe their biggest issue on defense is their personnel. Bradberry, byard, the linebackers, Roby aren’t good enough anymore. Brown is inexperienced and just was absolutely horrendous in the second half. At least ricks and ringo showed promise last night. Then again not sure if that is a byproduct of a backup Qb and seattle really just ran down our throats second half til the last drive and then saw a major weakness in bradberry and just kept attacking. Like niners did against morrow. And the cowboys did in the middle of the field. also time to admit this DL/pass rush has been overrated this year and they lack quality depth that they had last year.

5 snaps for OZ, 36 for Quez. It's the coaching.

Fact that quez is still on the team is a roster management issue.

This is where I land too.

The Eagles are going to finish 12-5/13-4. We will have made the playoffs in 3 straight years. We're objectively a good team when you put the entire body of work together.

But we're going to get blown out in a playoff game.

So many people living in fantasy land. "If we win the next 3 games we can get the 2 seed and the 1 seed is still in play”. This team has averaged 16 points the past 3 and got blown out twice. They are winning anything and when they get in the playoffs, by default, will be one and done. You don’t just turn things around all of a sudden in week 15.

So much talk about game changers and game managers after the Cam Newton clip earlier in the week. It’s the game changer mentality that is ruining Hurts’ progression. Him running around the pocket, extending plays, launching YOLO balls deep and getting picked. For some reason, game manager is such an undesirable term when it’s really what a QB should be doing 75% of the time. I want Hurts to be a game manager 8 plays out of 10.

Yup.   If he were just playing the 'game manager' role, he'd be fine.   And frankly, Montana was a 'game manager'.   He didn't have the greatest arm, but had very good location and anticipation, so he could get the ball out to his playmakers and let THEM make the plays.   "The Catch" was an outlier in his career.  That's not really who he was.  He was a rhythm thrower.   Short drop, get the ball out.   Brady too for the most part.

The way Baker is playing, they probably lose to Tampa right now.

What a Fing dick tease this team turned out to be. Should have never paid Hurts.

Yep, he certainly is not elite.

That was a deflating loss but we have flirted with a loss like this all year so it was bound to happen.

Still have the East and #2 seed clearly in sight.

I appreciate your optimism.  And maybe its because we are mired in the midst of a 3 game skid... but this team feels like its 4-10 not 10-4.

At least OZ can block.

OZ has made a contested catch in the last couple of years, and if you need a busted coverage to be successful you don’t really need 4.3 speed.

If Quez is schematically stretching the defense… fine, use the space underneath to make an easier throw to a reliable target.

How many targets did Goedert get that weren’t kamakaze screens?

There’s no question they lose to Tampa or New Orleans or Atlanta. They aren’t winning a playoff game and if they do get the 2 seed they will get embarrassed on their home field.

This is Doug all over again...lose your coordinators and the head coach getting exposed. The creativity is gone, in game adjustments are gone. Weird mid week coaching changes and lack of accountability makes me think this is on the downward spiral, just like after the Super Bowl. If they are a one and done playoff team I would think alot of changes and retirements are coming this offseason.

Go Sixers and Flyers!

Not enough that’s for sure. If they aren’t throwing to Brown, Smith, or Goeddert they aren’t throwing it to anyone.

You are still focusing on half the problem.   The OC needs to be upgraded as well.

Brown just took that second play off so it was a bomb the whole way.

31 pass attempts last night and 5 went to guys not named Smith, Brown, or Goeddert. Way to spread the ball around.

Absolutely and you could argue that the talent is better on offense and that makes Johnson worse than Desai at this point. Worst thing about that is that our Head Coach is an offensive mind and letting this happen.

We will likely see major changes coming at the end of the season. Both coordinators are gone again but what about the HC?

We’re stuck with Hurts next year and for the foreseeable future. No one is taking on his contract.

Tbh pretty fortunate to be 10-4. Credit to them for holding on in some games and getting some luck to go their way. Pretty amazing they have 10 wins considering we’ve played 14 games and yet to put a complete game together.

4 spots are essentially locked up.  San Fran won the West, Lions should win the North in the next week or so.  Eagles and Cowboys will come down to he Final Week per usual to decide who goes to the 5th Seed.   Tampa leads the South but New Orleans and Atlanta are still alive.   Los Angeles, Seattle and Minny are all fighting for 3 Spots and have a 7-7 Record.  Greenbay is barely hanging on at 6-8.  Eagles winning out will ensure the 2nd Seed and Division.
