We will likely see major changes coming at the end of the season. Both coordinators are gone again but what about the HC?

Nick will be on the hottest of seats in 2024. We might even see a mid-season move if the Eagles show the same regression being carried into the beginning of the season.

You are still focusing on half the problem.   The OC needs to be upgraded as well.

I’m talking strictly defense right now. I think offense’s biggest issues are hurts turnovers/decision making and sirianni/Johnson. I do think they have personnel issues of only 3 reliable pass catchers and nothing behind them and inconsistent run game. But the two biggest issues on that side of the ball are sirianni/Johnson offense/gameplan and hurts TOs/decision making.

I hate that I started to buy into what this team was selling. When they had the comeback win against Buffalo I started thinking maybe this team is a team of destiny. Then reality said nope and look where we are.

A change-of-pace, power run game to compliment Swift would make a huge difference for this offense.

They even have the player to do it, but they are too stupid to make it happen.

Long, time-consuming scoring drives would solve so many problems for this team.

Kenneth Walker showed us that last night.

The offensive coaching needs to start treating Hurts as a rookie or struggling backup.

They need to simplify the game for him.  Don’t give him the free rein to change calls at the LOS.  Stop going for deep plays when every one is a disastrously bad throw.  Short stuff to TEs, Slants to AJ, digs to Smith.

He can’t handle a complex passing offense right now, so call the game you’d call if Mariota was playing.

IDK how much more it can be simplified for him.

They had two long drives last night….. it didn’t matter in the end since they crapped it away.

Look at some of these drives in the 1st half and how bad they are. They either shoot themselves in the foot or they call terrible plays.

The Eagles 1st and 3rd drives were both 17 plays and each took 8 1/2 minutes and they got 10 points out of them. The Kelce false start was a horse poo call and that should have been a TD.

2nd series. It's 7-0 Eagles. Their 1st drive was what they needed and wanted. This should have been another sustained drive to get the Seahawks tired and on their heels. Nope.

1st down- 5 yard Swift run. That's a great 1st down result. 2 plays to get 5 yards. Hell, call it 3 plays and the Tush Push gets you 2 yards every time so 2 plays to get THREE YARDS.

2nd and 5- incomplete pass deep pass to Swift. RUN IT AGAIN. WEAR THEM OUT. They already drove 8 1/2 minutes on the first drive. Keep pounding the ball. If not that, slant to Brown..

3rd and 5- penalty, 5 yards

3rd and 10- Incomplete pass to DG that was a mess of a play.

Time of drive....1 minute!

4th series. 10-3 Eagles, Seahawks just had a 14 play drive.

1st down- 15 yard pass to DeVonta.

1st down- incomplete

2nd down- incomplete

3rd down- incomplete

Time of drive....34 seconds!

I won't even go in to the 2nd half as it gets worse.

They really aren't. The two big examples are Smith on a blitz (that's on coaching for not making this the hot route in the progression). The 2nd one was Gainwell on the 2nd Love INT. Hurts was too aggressive and should have checked it down given he had the timeout.

We don’t know that they didn’t.

Not when they needed it the most.

And those 2 drives were flat out clunky and goofy. Just no rhyme or reason.

Not enough that’s for sure. If they aren’t throwing to Brown, Smith, or Goeddert they aren’t throwing it to anyone.

We get to watch SF run an entire passing attack within 10 yards of the LoS, DAL basically through 1WR and an assortment of check downs and our solution to ‘situational football’ is Jalen heaving up the equivalent of contested 3 pointers… but the ball coach has all but said he’d rather be aggressive than smart.

Time for the fans to give the team standing ovation Ala Trea Turner next week 🙂

Very similar to the drives in the Jets game. Served a win on a platter.

True.

My biggest lean is the lack of hot routes for the past 3 years. That's a Sirianni thing. Minshew wasn't throwing hot against the blitz either.

If Sirianni is coaching Hurts to be THIS aggressive, he's gotta go.

I think we’d need to change the nature of the run game as Hurts can’t take the punishment anymore, but yes the best solution for this defense this year is to keep them off the field for as long as possible.

Hurts thinks this is college where he can just do as he feels.

10-5 here we come. Another embarrassment on their home field and on Monday. Merry Christmas to us all.

This team is not losing to the Giants this week. It's not happening. Get that out of your head.

They did that in the first half. Yet still managed to watch the defense crumble away in the second half. Also how about not running out of shotgun every single time.

This is where I land too.

The Eagles are going to finish 12-5/13-4. We will have made the playoffs in 3 straight years. We're objectively a good team when you put the entire body of work together.

But we're going to get blown out in a playoff game.

If they play SF, Dallas or Detroit they will get blown out.

If they play Atlanta, TB, New Orleans, Minnesota, etc it'll be a close game but most likely still lose.

I think it’s funny the last game is still TBD. Just put it at 1. Believe me neither team will be worthy of prime time at that point.

If you say so. Devito about to have the game of his career.

Two of the four against Philly. Fun!

They aren’t winning a single playoff game. Only chance they have of seeing the second round is if they get the 1 seed. But that’s not happening. The NFL should just give their spot to someone else. Merry Christmas from the Eagles you’re in the playoffs.

I think we all knew it was going to happen. Especially after they missed 3 ints on the drive.

Tbh pretty fortunate to be 10-4. Credit to them for holding on in some games and getting some luck to go their way. Pretty amazing they have 10 wins considering we’ve played 14 games and yet to put a complete game together.

Is it possible to have a SB hangover and still finish with 11-12 wins?

It's what it feels like.
