Throwing a 50/50 to Watkins is never a good decision

Said this in the offseason should’ve just cut quez and saved the money. Used it elsewhere. You’d get better effort and competency out if Greg ward. And that’s not a compliment for Greg ward.

One on one that man Watkins is always open... didn't you get the damn memo. ELITE

Looked like to me that if watkins had broken to the post maybe hes more open, or if hurts throws it on time and lets him run under it, i strad hurts stares dian watkins and throws it late and short.

Bad call by BJ, bad throw by hurts not good enough route by watkins.

Any play they call a deep shot or a shot to quez is dumb.

I don't disagree, but then he has to be benched. Put OZ in who actually blocks.

My biggest takeaway from last night's game is that Nick has to make the hard decisions

- Bench Bradberry
- Bench Quez
- Force Jalen/Brian Johnson to be more conservative.

It's the only way to salvage this season.

Any play they call a deep shot or a shot to quez is dumb. He can’t catch nor track the ball. Plus he hardly ever fights for the ball tk break up an int. He shouldn’t be on the team. He’s useless and sucks. It’s been proven every time they throw to him since that commanders mnf game last year it’s been a negative play. It’s why i didn’t complain about just throwing to 3 guys but complained their WRs outside of smith and brown are crap and their depth at tight end also sucks. If you had better depth/ talent behind those 3 pass catchers I’d be more willing to complain about not getting them involved. The issue is their depth there is atrocious.

That said i didn’t understand take the deep shot. They had easily moved the ball on first three plays of that drive for 15, 5 and 10. That’s just stupid when you are moving it that easy and you didn’t need the big play touchdown. Needed a methodical drive and score to kill clock and help your defense

I was watching that drive and was feeling confident we were going to easily move it down the field. When Jalen went deep, I just prayed it was to Smith...nope, Watkins. But there was NO reason to do that at all. None.

We have no choice but to fix him, as the contract makes him completely unmovable. Need a change at QB coach and maybe OC as well (though I'm not convinced Nick fires both coordinators).

What's truly unreal is my base case is still we win the division, and then eventually lose by 30 to SF in the playoffs.

I've got so far down the "Jalen Hurts psyche" hole in recent weeks when thinking about you go about fixing this offense. The dude was probably so devastated getting benched by Saban at Alabama and watching Tua win without him. His time in Oklahoma ended with the staff shitting on him to draft scouts. He's probably, deep down, got major trust and insecurity issues. The question I keep asking myself is what kind of damage is going to be done when BJ eventually is relieved of his duties? He's Jalen's guy. This has the potential to spiral out of control, from a player confidence/trust standpoint.

Yup the fact he’s still here after 4 years where he’s regressed every season is ridiculous. There might not be a player in recent memory that i just despise or hate more than Quez Watkins. That’s saying a lot cause i actually liked the pick when they made. Him being on the team reminds me when they used the 5th year option on agholor and he was a disaster his last year here.

I firmly believe Howie considers him a feather in his cap and that’s the only reason why he has a roster spot.

WR screen looked good again yesterday.

Ive in the past been a big supporter of watkins, 2022 he looked great in a starting role, ever since AJ got here and Siri told quez he wont see the ball more than once a game hes been checked out.

The offense running through 3 guys seems forced.

But yeah good luck to quez next year on another team.

One of those is bound to break 5 yards one day

It would be nice if QB1 would target other players. Other players on offense not the opposing defense

The most frustrating yesterday was all the screens. At that point, just run the ball.

OZ has contributed to this season Quez has not. Never again. Also bench Bradberry he’s cooked.

Fixed it for you. He should’ve been this offseason. The fact he’s making $2 mil this year is Fing ridiculous. He’s made 286K per catch this year. And 41K per yard. They should’ve upgraded their no. 3 wr this offseason. Oz wasn’t a no. 3 wr. It’s why he sat in FA and no one really went to get him. He’s fine as a 4-5th wr. I’ve been saying this for months now. They continued to overlook their 3rd wr spot and way over reliant on brown and smith. If they have bad games they are screwed. And if one gets hurt they are basically completely doomed.

I’d argue quez might be the worst no. 3 wr in the league and if not worse bottom 5. it is almost routinely a negative play anytime he’s involved. Whether catching it or blocking.

also how the F does Aaron moorehead still have his job. Besides smith and aj, tell me one thing he’s done well as WR coach

The screens that went 5 yards behind the LOS were curious

I can see BJ now- I need to be innovative, i know what ill do instead if throwing a WR screen a yard behind the LOS ill have em throw it 5 yards behind the LOS...😒

Down on the list of problems but Howie/Nick need to fire Desai today. Odds are we need a new DC next year unless it’s just handed to Patricia. Publicly cucking Desai on national tv after just 13 games is a bad look when you’re going to be competing with other teams in the next coaching cycle.

It was cringeworthy how they showed him on camera a bunch during the game

DeVonta and Dallas had a couple nice catches to get immediately murdered for 2 yard losses.

Qb1 has been throwing quite a few hospital balls lately

Love reading this chaos on the shidder

At this point, I don't care. They should've long made changes. The complete and utter hubris of this organization sometimes trying to show everyone they were right. Which is so bizarre because randomly they will just cut bait in other areas like Desai. But they'll keep a player on the roster who sucks for like 8 years bc "reasons"

I just felt bad for him. That’s gotta be so embarrassing. I wouldn’t blame him one bit for quitting in the middle of his next PC.

This seems like a weasel Howie move

Frankly I’d force the eagles to fire me. I’m not quitting and bailing them out of having to pay me after what went down.

So what exactly was Desai's job last night? The commentators said he is still the DC, he was just put upstairs...was he calling plays and just sending them down to Patricia? Was he maybe just calling defensive play "schemes" and sending those down to Patricia...

It just seems a very strange thing to not have your DC on the field. Did Siriani think Desai might see the field better from above and call better pays? All very weird...and obviously, whatever they did, and however they split defensive duties, it simply didn't work!
