Defense and schedule?  They scored 17 points against a 6-7 Seattle team that was beaten 4 in a row and ready to call it a season, with their backup QB getting the start.  You'd think not having won there in 15 years that they'd have been keyed up to deliver a win.

Gotta score 30 points in this league to win consistently.  Less than 20 is a non-starter, and that's been the norm the past few games.  With the personnel this team has on offense the excuses need to stop.

I'm calling a players-only meeting!  Didn't want to have to do it, but it's time.

Exactly.  I’m all about stats and advanced stats but sooner or later folks need get up off their computers and look at what’s really going on.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles stealth change play callers this week.

We'll never know because they never tell us

I cant believe people are only now realizing the offense is the same. Its the only way Hurts can function in an offense. This stuff HAS to be what we do. Over and over. The punch and counter punches are automatically built in to each play call. But they are still the same ones everyone has seen. It relies on execution, and he isnt executing it this year.

With who though?  Had they had a guy like Patricia on the offensive side of the ball, it likely would have already happened.

Do they dare bring in a guy like Frank Reich at this point?  The optics would look like they’re panicking but tbh, who cares at this point.   This team needs to get better.

If the 9ers or Dallas are in the SB, I'm definitely not watching. I have enough negative BS going on in my life. I might need to just stop following the NFL for my health's sake anyway. I've been too emotionally invested in the team this year it's like putting up with a cheating girlfriend who keeps swearing she'll stop. I love this team but I hate this team so much.

Marcus Brady would be my guess if they actually did it

I appreciate your optimism.  And maybe its because we are mired in the midst of a 3 game skid... but this team feels like its 4-10 not 10-4.

Sure, it feels like sheet, no doubt.  A three game skid will do that to you but 4-10?  Nah.

They feel like a very flawed division winner / wild card team who won't win more than maybe one playoff game to me.  One that can still very reasonably find a path to the #2 seed thanks to a slew of Ws earlier in the year many of which could have been Ls.

If this team wants me to take them seriously going forward, I'd like to see the following. Nick has shown he will shake things up.

1. James Bradberry -- welcome to being deactivated. Until Slay is back, start Ringo and Ricks and rotate in Jobe. Roby in the slot. At the very worst, they get experience against weaker pass offenses. I don't fault Howie for resigning him - a dropoff was expected, but he went from 2nd team all-pro to hot garbage.

2. Play Sydney Brown a LOT more. 3 safety looks work for us.

3. Keep Shaq Leonard off the field.

4. Keep Quez off the field -- give his snaps to Oz and Julio. At least those guys put forward effort.

5. Activate Penny (OK, this won't happen)

I'm one of the biggest Hurts' defenders in the blog and even I don't believe that.

Same, his regression is obviously part of the problem. Just like I was not willing to move off of my hesitance for saying he's good easily, it's the same for saying that he's garbage now. He's obviously got some issues, whether that is "playing hero ball" or whether defenses have started playing him differently and he can't adjust or his coaching has been substandard since the QB coach became OC or play calling has been bad or some combination of those things (which is what I think it is). I still labor under the idea that it can be fixed, but likely not this year.

I just think that it’s more than the 3 game slide though… It’s the manner of it. It’s the way this team looks broken. It’s the way this team looks clueless.

The next time the call a WR Screen, someone on the sideline needs to do a 50 yard running nut kick to Sirianni and Brian Johnson.

This feels so much like Josh Allen after Mahomes broke his brain in 13 seconds. Hurts was broken by the Super Bowl and thinks he has to be even better than that, try and make hero plays. Then Allen lost Daboll like Hurts lost Shane.

Well when you start tearing up from his tip hitting the back of your throat, maybe he'll tell you all about his master degree

Yeah, yeah, yeah…get your OWN material. You individuals are the ones obsessed with Hurts or some reason. So much so you assumed and projected. You obsess over him so much, you don’t know what to do with yourself. You and the rest of you sexually repressed dweebs can quote and like each others post all you want. I bet none of you can go a day without Hurts diq in ya mouth. You nothin like me, stop trynna talk my talk, ma’am

Luckily he didn't cost you guys anything really. He looked really slow last night, maybe a bad night, who knows.

not a  december I want to remember -_-

I'm reduced to hoping eagles can win the division so that if the cowboys are the lowest remaining seed after WC they get smoked by niners

To be fair, though, I think BJ has put Hurts in that position. The guy is sick and you start off the game with him running the ball.  You make play calls where his read is to force the ball down the field.  The play calls are not helping him with that feeling that he has to put the team on his back.

Should really be a 5 game skid. Maybe 6 if Dallas didn't blow it themselves.

You can't call a game, especially an Eagles offensive game based QB health. He's either good to go or he's not. You have professional players on the roster to back him up. QB play is too much of the offensive gameplan for the Eagles to not call certain plays because someone is sick.

For those that more clearly remember what was the 1994 season, the last under Kotite, like… the reasons attributed to that collapse?

13 runs for their QB who has the freaking flu?!
