it's a much harder throw to Devonte on the out.  the decision hurts made was a much easier one for him and therefore probably thought it had a better chance.

Harder throw than throwing a pick to the safety who read him like a book?   Easier decision because he predetermined to make that throw presnap?   What exactly are we saying here?    It was a moronic throw in that situation.

Nick is getting fiery today. Yikes.

Nick should get fiery with his inept coaches/players.  It wasn't the media that dropped a very winnable game in Seattle.

Nah.  It is 1.5 seconds at most and in the first half second you can see not a guy within a mile

It's definitely not 1.5 seconds, watch the clip. He's in pass pro and chips the DE on Mailata. By the time he turns himself back around Hurts is already winding up. Hurts would have had to hold onto the ball for awhile.

I think he "could” have made the throw if he decided not to throw to AJ and held the ball. I can’t say he "should” have. Especially with the play call being what it was and asking him to keep his eyes downfield.

He was asked why take a shot play to AJ when you need a FG to tie at the end of the game.

”You might get a DPI”

The answers just get dumber and dumber.   Hoping for a flag to bail you out.   Nick Mahomes?

Nick should be getting fired during this press conference.  These are Rich Kotite level answers...  Did his play sheet get wet and the ink run too?

With the disclaimer I know Nick is just saying random things to protect his players/coaches, but still. This PC is a disaster.

Yes.

I should have waited for him to finish his answer. Not only were they throwing it so it "might” get a DPI but "and then we can kick a FG”. So we’re trying to get a DPI to kick a FG instead of getting 10 yards the normal way on offense for Jake f’ing Elliot to kick a FG.

Unbelievable

Yup.   He's a moron.

Not sure if this refers to the quote about Quez, the fact that he's still on the team or the YOLO throw to him at a point in the game where that's not even the best option for a play if he were wide open.

I wish this had a column C

The still picture makes it look bad but Gainwell doesn't leak out until 3+ seconds after the ball is snapped. Smith was the better throw.

Gotcha.  That makes sense then

Break out the black jerseys with a green helmet. That will fix it.

I thought with the Kelly being back that the black was a thing of the past.   :nonono:.  This season just keeps getting more disappointing.

Yes I agree it wasn't a smart throw I'm just trying to figure out why he did throw it.  And throwing it up to AJ on a fly is a much easier throw than the out pattern which requires accuracy and timing.  either way it's incomplete or picked most likely.  so the obvious choice was the dump off but hurts decided to throw it before even that really developed.  So just bad decision making most likely brought on by hurts lack of confidence passing and his in-ability on this play to decipher the defense and pick the best option.

He is sitting right there. ANYONE could hit him (except McNabb and Wentz both of whom couldn't throw a screen to save their lives).  At least Hurts can throw a good forward screen (average at best on lateral screens).  It is INSANE to throw the ball that was thrown.

On the contrary.   McNabb was excellent at using check downs... Hurts never does.  It wasn't a screen it was a check down to Gainwell, and that's all that was needed in that spot to set up a FG.   Just a check down, get down and call the timeout.

They can use alternate jerseys for 3 games. Can be any. Why they decided black is unknown. But i know they were selling black jerseys still so I’m guessing they are staying for one game every year. I hope they come out with the white version kelly green

The answer is simple.    And we heard it from Kelce too.   They are trying to force explosive plays.   No need for it in either YOLO throw.  They don't have the patience to just take what is right in front of them.

The clip embedded above is not slowed down right?  Imma watch it now and use a stop watch.  Seems way less than 3 seconds to me.

The timing of the play was all jacked up, Gainwell was not a real option as Lean GM has already pointed out.

Kenny G was full on blocking the DE. If he were a real read in the play he should have, at most, done a quick chip on his way out to open space.

He blocks down and only looks available once it’s too late and the ball is being thrown.

I don’t think he was even a read in the play, I just think he got beat by the DE and stood there looking open.

I went to my dispensary today because I’m not letting them ruin the remainder of my Christmas after losing to My Cousin Vinny.

It is just over 2 seconds or just at 2 seconds from snap.  He NEVER turns his head to the left at all (can't speak for his eyes).  He has loaded up but not thrown for sure, so you are right he could have redirected the throw.

Absolutely, BUT Nabby would throw anything 5 yards and under into the dirt half the time.*

*Exaggerated for effect but man did he suck at it.

Part of me wonders if they don’t really have any clue on how to use motion to generate advantages and they just implemented it pointlessly to combat criticism.

I step away from the internet for most of the day and come back to Dickerson having thumb surgery and Sirianni saying the game-sealing interception was on a play drawn up in hopes of a bail-out interference penalty.

Yiiiiiiiiiiikes.

Funny thing is there was DPI on that play but I guess the pick (that really didn't happen because he didn't get both feet down) nullified it lol.

I swear we only ever use the Dark uniforms when we play the giants.

I did some research and called this a while back. Since they've adopted the all black uniforms, they've worn them against the Giants every year except one. They still suck. Go Kelly Green for 3 instead of 2 and crap black.

You seem to always have something against the blacks... sup wit that?
