To be honest, I think the defense can be better if they just have the testicles to bench Bradberry with the newer setup. Like other than the final defensive play, which was a bad play call (most were good) he's kind of the reason why we lost at the end if you point to the defense rather than the offense being inept.

Yiiiiiiiiiiikes.

I still contend that Patricia did a pretty good job, all things considered.

We haven't seen defenders around the ball like that in a while. It wasn't easy for Seattle even though we didn't tackle well.  And even on the last drive there were plays to be made and our defenders just didnt come through.  There's only so much a playcaller can do, but he had players in good positions.

My big gripe with the INT play aside from the throw decision is that it's not really setting Hurts up to be successful with play design (again). If Smitty is the primary read then your #2 read is on the opposite side of the field on a Go route. The post in the slot was pretty much just being used as a clear route so that's not a viable option with the Seahawks defense. A better play design would have AJ coming back across the field in front of the post. Makes the progression more natural where you're going Smitty #1, AJ #2, Goedert #3 on the backside and then Gainwell as a checkdown. They're not really making it easy on him in these situations. It's not like the ball had to go to the sidelines in this situation because we had timeouts.

I posted plenty of QB1 is trash comments. I don't see those anywhere. Did they hire someone to go through all the comments and only keep the good ones to protect QB1 safe space?

Did you mean bail out pass interference? I don't get how bail out INT would make any sense. There's no such thing as a bail out INT. If Sirianni actually said INT fire him tomorrow. He'd be the dumbest coach in history.

I know on the surface it sounds dumb, but it’s too late in the year to install his own defense. He can add some wrinkles, but he’s pretty much going to have to run Desai’s play sheet with some wrinkles.

And with the right players in the right roles.

As they should be. You honestly think Sirianni got on the mic and told Hurts "Make sure you force this ball to AJ even if the safety is shading that way, that way we might get a DPI call" ? Of course not, he's clearly covering for Hurts. Again, not everything about the poor play of the offensive side of the ball can be attributed to the QB, but on this particular play? Yes, we are blaming the QB for it.

The play should have never been called in that situation. Ever.

Lol, yes, a bail out interference.

I dunno, skipping all forms of OTA and mini camp and having the lightest TC around just to go full practice all week this late in the season seems a bit backwards.

When you’ve had too much wine and dial up a DPI by design, that’s amore

I don't take press conferences too seriously. What's he going to say "Jalen should have thrown it to Devonta instead?"

Someone should post a link to the Blog in the comment section.

We got to do a better job there.

He should say "I am a f'ing moron for calling a long developing shot play as the primary read with 12 seconds left and hoping my QB overcomes my stupidity and takes Devonta on the second read”

I haven't followed it closely, but Patricia running Desai's defense is a disastrous plan. I guess it's no worse than any other interim coach taking over... but it just sounds like a terrible plan.

Agreed. Carroll plays a ton of cover-3 so Floods are a decent option to counter that. Four verts are too but you don't want to risk a sack in that situation.

I certainly wouldn’t intentionally say something that would make me sound like a complete moron.

Bless their hearts.

Thank goodness for Pederson, Reich, and Foles during the 2017 season.
