Key differences from last year are defensive turnovers which gave the offense a shorter field to work with. On the screens this team loves so much, say what you want about Pascal, he actually blocked, and he put effort into it, AJ and Devonta recently have not, especially AJ. 
Last year they had the lead in most of their games, this year they haven’t and either Nick or Jalen is forcing the long (explosive) play, vs passing to wide open receivers for easy first downs.  Seattle is a cover 3 team, you beat cover 3 with basic passing concepts to the flats and seams, there’s no reason to try to beat the deep safety. Which is why Smitty was wide open on the last play of the game, and on a 3rd 8 earlier in the game Hurts tried to get to AJ on the left side.   Both times Smitty is open in the flat, and gets an easy 1st down.

I liked Josh Downs a lot in the draft, and he's been really good for the Colts as a rookie.  Eagles need to find a fast, shifty little slot guy like that in the 3rd/4th round.

I would be fine if they got another outside prospect and put Smith in the slot.  Also Roman Wilson would fit your description and he's probably a late day 2 or early day 3 pick.

Really don't understand why they haven't let Covey get some snaps there. He's sure handed, shifty, and can take a big hit.

I mean why not get Covey on the field? If the guy is decent at punt returns why can't they get him the ball in space and see what happens?
