Agree. It’s not the explosive plays that will solve the problems & they seem to be forcing the issue of long ball or bust.

i would much rather have them take what the opposition gives you, which is a lot more than these bombs away. Hit them in stride and the explosive plays will come, similar to SF. We have the playmakers, so put them in position to succeed.

he's an idiot. what we have to do is be more creative. Not necessarily explosive.

Like the end of the last game, you don't nee an explosive play, you need 15 yards.

Exactly. Stop trying to force them and run a freakin offense. Take what they give you sometimes and the explosive plays will come naturally.

Brian Johnson saying they need to focus more on trying to make big plays.

Did you forget that this team lost to the Jets?  Any given Sunday.   If the Eagles crap the bed again... they could lose to Temple.

Jets had a better defense than what any of these guys fielded. Remember the Jets beat almost beat KC? That was a different team back then. NYG and AZ are pretty much tanking at this point. Totally different circumstances this time of the season.

Yup... scared :)

Scared?

Nah, entertainment doesn't induce fear in me, but the team isn't good right now and doesn't seem to be a team that is together at the moment.   Or at least a team that is wondering if it has the answers.

Yeah... I hate Eagles fans when things aren't going right. Freaking dooms day folks. That was one of the toughest stretches of games I can remember in a long time. I couldn't imagine being a player and having fans like this. I saw 2-3 losses in that stretch and if no one else saw that you were being unrealistic as hell. Need to start calling Eagles fans Two Faces.Teams go on slumps ... it happens. The Eagles barely got the bye last year and they weren't playing well at all going into the playoffs with a banged up Hurts. Yet... they did pretty well I thought.

The reason that I don’t have a very optimistic look at the team right now is the way they have lost their games. It not losing games, but getting blown out.
Adding to that is that they haven’t played really well in their wins either, and except the win against the Fins.

Just my impression - still want them to prove me wrong and go deep into the playoffs.😊

Is no way he said that

Or more players are going to press because this keeps getting drilled in their head and they will fumble or do something else to kill the drive

I don't think the Gints are tanking.  Daboll's job is on the line.  He is coaching to keep his job.

So I gather you don't remember last year around this time at all huhn? They damn near went on a 3 game losing streak and then beat the Giants twice one being in the playoffs. This isn't the first time they faced some adversity.

remember everyone, don't blame BJ, he just calls the plays from the sirianni offense.

the jets lost to the chiefs

Saying teams are forced to respect Quez's speed.  Eagles coaches just have to do a better job of trying to grt him involved and giving him more opportunities to make a play.

I remember more than I care to.  I agree about adversity.  But last season they didn't have the worst D in the league coupled with the worst 3rd down D.

^^^For anyone wondering why Hurts decides to throw deep regardless of game situation^^^

They're literally coaching him to do this nonsense.  And their play design and playcalling isn't good enough to give him the luxury to pick his spots.

The obvious and biggest difference between this year and last is coaching.

Why?  Against the Seahawks, when they were methodical and took what the defense gave them, they scored on over half their drives.

When they tried to throw the ball all over the park, they failed.

Beginning to wonder if this doesn't come from above the coaches.  Wasn't there something that came out that Lurie wanted the ball thrown more than running.

Maybe they want the big play all the time also.

It's fine if you want him to look for the big play but if it isn't there they should do what Dak got coached to do this year.  Check down if that play isn't there

yep. those 2 scoring plays were good. ate the clock, moved the chains. controlled and well managed relatively speaking. Then they crap their pants and had hurts playing hero ball.

Devonta, Morrow, Cunningham not practicing again

Also maybe they don't want to change after the chip Kelly fiasco.  Seems like that was the we tried this it didn't work so we will go back to our way

Really?  You think Hurts is a robot that is unaware of the game situation?

He is making a choice.  Just like when he chooses to leave the pocket early.

Smith's practice schedule has been weird all year
