What worries me is the coaches keep talking about needing more explosive plays. Yet those are the plays mostly leading to turnovers.

I like Ben VanSumeren.

He was a Fullback for the Michigan Wolverines for a couple of years.   The Eagles could put him at FB,  but the Eagles seems to want to intentionally not have any short yardage back who is not Jalen Hurts.

Then ILB for Michigan and then Michigan State.  Not many years there. Raw.  But the RAS is high.

VanSumeren is one I put on my "get these udfas"  day 3 list,  so I'm rooting for him.

However,  I do understand that the typical Eagles fan just wants the most famous players to play every snap until they collapse,  and then they want to point fingers while they ignore that having the same players play all the snaps causes them to burn out by the end of the season.

Kelee Ringo (similar to VanSumeren,  raw and flawed at this point,  but higher Ras than others at the same spot)  did solidly well the last game.  I'd expect something similar to Ringo from VanSumeren.   A small amount of "WTF was that",  and some of "wow,  that guy can really go sideline to sideline".  And as the experience grows,  fewer of the WTF, down to almost none,  and more ofthe wow.

We can't find the wonderlic stuff from these guys, but VanSumeren got offers from Harvard and Yale, so he's smart.

More Nolan Smith on the field, more Sydney Brown on the field, more Kelee Ringo on the field,  more Ben VanSumeren on the field.  All rookies,  all with very good ras.

Ras compare -  Nolan Smith v Ben VanSumeren as LB.

Ras compare - Sydney Brown v Kelee Ringo as SS.

Get them experience,  get them on the field.   Maybe some of those guys won't be able to match their play to their Ras,   but I think they all will.

Well, there are a handful of people who are here all the time.  They know. But there are quite a few people who don't spend all their free time here.  They don't.

I can paste links to VanSumeren catching a ton of td passes and running for big tds over and over, and a small percentage like yourself will be annoyed because "these are not my thoughts" and you've seen them before,  but there are people seeing it for the first time.

No no no. All BJs fault.

Where would Jalen be without A.J., DeVonta and Goedert? Maybe give him Carolina's O line. Football is referred to as a team sport for a reason.

That's not a very good sign for us, because that means hurts is on the same plane as Purdy. And that's not worth his contract.

What's the over under for Boston Scott carries this week?  I'll say four.

Over

It's going to be frustrating to watch either way.

A. They feed him the ball and he's productive. If he's productive, it's just going to show how he should have more 16 carries on the year.

B. The feed him the ball, he isn't productive but they think because it's the Giants they have to.

C. They keep the status quo and give Swift 3 carries on the first drive, take him out until the 3rd quarter and feed KG in the most nonsensical situations.

It will likely be over because Sirriani actually panders to ish like this

That would also means that they're approving what he's recommending, if they're implementing it, which isn't a good look for their coaching skills by the way we've looked lately.

Cunningham, Dickerson, Slay, Maddox all out

Morrow is questionable.

Devito going to have a career day.

Hurts and the merry band of pranksters better be prepared to score 30 or more to win.

Under. They need to fix the offense if they want to compete in the postseason. Not the time to be playing up to a meme bit.

That’s my fear

Food for thought:

What would Hurts look like in SF?

What would Purdy look like in Philly?

I think Hurts would be worse than Purdy in SF and Purdy would be worse than Hurts in Philly.

Luckily this is the week that Penny gets unleashed…

Its not surprising. Hes not football smart. Theyve gotten the results youd expect from a guy who cant read a defense calling plays. This makes it even worse for Brian Johnson, that the eagles thought Hurts was a better option calling plays.

Winner gains custody of Matt Barkley
