Perhaps, but not knowing the full context of this, that headline/sentence means very little.

Correct.  Its not reassuring, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything,

Boston Scott has 16 carries all year. The most in a game is 5. He has 5 games without a single carry. Given the last 3 weeks, if the Eagles are game planning anything at all involving Boston Scott just because it’s the Giants they are a very unserious team.

The only way he should get any touches is in a blow out.

If a player plays best against a specific team then you should absolutely be trying to use him against that team.

I haven't heard too many people call Brady a game manager outside of those first couple seasons (which he was back then.) I get what you're saying though, but I'd say most fans typically use it as a slight rather than a compliment. One of the replies to my post even calls him a JAG. What you're describing is what I would call a QB being efficient, but I guess some "game managers" can be more efficient than others.

Purdy is playing pretty damn well at the moment. He's seeing the field well, making accurate throws, and putting up nice numbers against good teams. That being said, I still think he's beatable along with every other QB in the league. The original post I replied to implied that it'll be either Purdy or Mahomes to win it this year but I think it's way more wide open than that.

Agreed.   Purdy is very unlikely to take a team on his back and carry them to victory on the back of him making some sort of eye catching plays.   What he is going to do is just bludgeon teams, with good play after good play after good play, without him having to make any truly great individual play.  He will rely on his teammates to make the great individual plays.

Yep, kind of the point I made earlier in the evening. If we see a lot of Boston Scott tomorrow it's going to be incredibly frustrating.

With that being said, the disappearance of Boston Scott this year makes no sense. He's had a roll on this offense since he's been here. Last year was his least utilized year and he managed to have 54 carries and averaged 4 YPC. He topped out at 87 carries and averaged 4.3 YPC that season. He hasn't averaged less than 4 YPC in any year he's played here yet he's looking to have 22 carries for the entire season. Doesn't make sense at all.

thats some crap the eagles would do..

a deep shot on 3rd and 2

higgins with the 80 yard catch and run

still to early to go for 2 but meh...

Their bomb on 3rd and short paid off...td steelers

thats a catch

You know why.

And you're assuming it's true. Even the "report" says it calling plays at the line of scrimmage. The headline is click bait meant to make people think he’s the offensive coordinator

never mind the hand and second foot down at same time

Man Cincy's offensive tackles suck.

Been that way for a really long time.  It's why Burrow is hurt... AGAIN.

The eagles are probably trying to preserve Brian Johnson's value on the HC market. Value that can bring them two 3rd round picks if he is hired away. Picks that can help bring us a Hurts upgrade.

You sure love to hate that guy huh

We know == No one cares

I understand that there are people here who care only about the most limited things, and also, other Philly teams,  etc.

But you don't speak for everyone, but you do seem to be the majority.  Not too long ago,  after VanSumeren started playing in games,   someone mentioned that they didn't realize that VanS was a college Fullback. And they appreciate it.

I understand the distress that some feel when they are presented with ideas that are not mirrors of the media's narrative.

I would think that there would be some others who can present some detailed analysis of any number of different Eagles.   For the most part,  what I see here is crap chat,  and time kill conversation.  Nothing wrong with that.  Not sure that people arguing against the Daily VanSumeren (who I argued in favor of before he was brought in as a udfa, and been arguing in favor of pretty constantly) should be the same ones doing the crap chat.

I wasn't. Just questioning the multitude of negative reports now that they're losing

Wtf Peacock is also getting a playoff game?  So stupid.
