He can't. As soon as he feels pressure he tucks and runs. To beat a blitz you have to be willing to stand in the pocket and deliver the ball 

It’s going to be overlooked in this game, because the Eagles are gonna win and their scoring, but their blitz pick up and recognition has been absolutely atrocious today.

And Hurts hasn't been great either. Locking onto receivers. Passes batted down...one almost for 6 the other way.

I don’t think there’s another starting QB in the league who makes that mental gaffe.

The joy of playing the soft part of the schedule; I don’t think the Eagles are playing any better than the previous 4 weeks, but they’re blasting an inferior opponent

Hurts has been the biggest problem from a player perspective all year.

I think the bigger issue is is they can’t figure out how to pick up blitzes. Almost every time the Giants send a blitz they get at least one free rusher. That is poor communication and not having guys know where it’s coming from.

I don’t disagree. You gotta have short passes and get it out fast but they have guys there about a second or two after the snap a guy is untouched. That’s just awful blitz pickup. 

Would love to get the version of Hurts we had before the bag got delivered back

He made a stupid play he’s not playing poorly. 

That was Reid/McNabb level time mgmt there.  The missed timeout was horrible and cost more than 15 seconds and then Hurts pulled a McNabb and got bailed out.

The south FL sun has fried Jimmy Johnson's brain.

Of course that was a penalty.

First Washington game. The td to brown normally is great. Situationally don’t need it cause it was better to run clock and kick a fg st the end of the game and win it as time expired. Especially with the defense getting gashed that day. 

The worst part about these next 3 games is that they can win while playing like crap and this team clearly smells themselves after wins. They'll win 3 in a row playing like dog ish and they'll just say "we're winning"

They need something to counter the blitz.  They can't RB screen (since they suck so bad at it) but they did have Gainwell release out to the left on one play that worked nicely.
