The only person I see smiling is Jordan Davis and I have never not seen that man smile.

Slay is smirking, probably thinking about how great of a game he would have had.

Whoever was directly behind Siri was also smiling and swaying back and forth he looked happy.  Like I said, other guys were all business and a lot of players expressed frustration.  The post game interviews a lot of them said they weren't happy with the way they played despite the win.  There's also knowing cameras are on you, some guys just get stone faced.  They're tired after a game, and some guys are just stoic.  We can read into a 23 second clip without seeing the full context, but I think the interview comments provided more info on the vibes of the team.

As a fellow Italian I can also promise you that Sirianni is operating at peak efficiency when everyone is yelling at each other at the same time.  Nothing to worry about at all.

Nah can't absolve the players. They've been doing some dumb ish out there. It's both coaching and poor execution when the coaches finally do put these guys in the right position to make plays.

Brought this up last week. Coaches are drilling "explosive plays” into their head so much it’s becoming a liability. Players are pressing and bad things are happening because of it.

Did Hurts not go out of bounds at the end of the half because he wanted an explosive play? Maybe.

Boston Scott decided to return the ball that he caught on the goal line. Did he do that to "make a play”? Maybe. And it resulted in a fumble. Even at best it looked like his return wasn’t going beyond the 25 yards he could have had for free.

When is Smith not talking on the sidelines have you not seen his mic'd ups lol.

I know but IMO, this looks different. Add to that his comments after the game and his body language for a good part of the season and he just doesn't seem happy. I could be totally wrong but it's just how it comes off to me.

No one seems happy. They're all playing like dog ish.

Edit: Except Slay.... he plays great every week.

I don't agree with the number of snaps going that low... but at the same time, a message should be sent too.

And yes, a message should be sent to AJ as well.  Dogging it is unacceptable.

Yeah, I don't know what the right answer is. Maybe sit him for a drive so he understands that sort of thing is unacceptable. But Patricia has also been known to go overboard in trying to make examples out of players. That kind of thing wears thin with them after a while as we saw with Chip.

I agree.  There are a gazillion what-if plays in a game.  Tons of poor blocks, bad angles, missed calls.

But the KO fumble, slipping on the INT, and forgetting how many time outs you have, IMO, are outliers to the execution-like examples you gave.

Just saying, my post was not meant to be reflective of the state of the team. Just in general, there are always going to be calls/plays/situations that either team would want back that can wildly change the course of the game.

I hear you but these guys are all professionals though and most have played long enough to not make these mental mistakes week after week.

I grew up in NE Philly in a twin house. For those that don't know, there is a shared wall and then breezeway on the other side of each house.  The family that "shared the wall" with us was an exceptionally loud Jewish/Italian family.  Damn near EVERY morning Mr. T would be yelling at Donny (18 or so give/take) and he back at him at the top of their lungs and Mfing each other like mad.  My Dad would be shaving in the bathroom (where of course the acoustics were optimal) and I would be standing there (10 or 11 years old) and my Dad (RIP) and I would be crying with laughter.  It makes me smile even now, five decades later.

They are going to run DeVonta out of town. He just doesn't seem happy here.

This tweet has the sequence of events right.  Sirianni is mad at everyone that a 20-3 cakewalk has become a nail biter on the Giants final drive because of the Eagles own mistakes.  The Giants didn’t do anything to force Boston Scott’s terrible play, the Hurts pick 6 was a bad throw where both Goedert and Jackson get to the ball at the same time even without the slip, and Blankenship watches a faster WR run right past him for a free TD, when the only thing the defense had to do was not let the ball get over their heads.

Reddick is simply getting clarification on the play (and maybe his responsibilities on it) and DeVonta Smith is likely trying to stick up for his teammate while talking Nick down in the moment.  I don’t think any of it is a big deal going forward

I agree, they should. Just seems like now they are compounding errors every week.

Are we at all surprised that the Eagles finally won a game the first time they gave defensive snaps to VanSumeren while also giving Nolan Smith significant action at MLB?

RAS!!!

Yeah,  I've been the only one hyping VanSumeren here.

And take a look at PFF.

VanSumeren has a PFF on the year of 81.9.   His only game so far on defense,  so yesterday,  he was 81.9.   Had over 50% of the snaps.

Sucks that guy is amazing

I thought it was silly trying to do that when NYG only had like 100 yards of offense up to that point

Taking some snaps better than no snaps. Curious if they're still one of the quickest groups off the ball... haven't looked in a while. They all look gassed to me with little explosion.

For some reason they don't like Nolan on the edge. Maybe he hasn't developed enough pass rush moves. Saw him playing some off ball LB which is interesting.

I noticed him off ball as well…he was lost on those plays.

So their personnel groupings call for their best DL to be off the field for 70% of the time. I hate this coaching staff so much.
