Thought Sirianni had a good press conference especially the last part where he talked about the mistakes and how they go about correcting them so they don't make the same mistakes again.  Now they just need to do them.  Both of the turnovers yesterday were flukes but you can't have them.

He is right that they did do some good things yesterday that they can build on.  There are just alot of perfectionists on this team that want to play to their high standards.  That's a good thing that they aren't satisfied with their performance and want to do better.

I thought the offense played better yesterday.  There were better play calls, better execution and Hurts played better.  They need to continue to get better.  If the defense can get healthy and be halfway decent, they can do some things in the postseason.

Yeah, I don't know what the right answer is. Maybe sit him for a drive so he understands that sort of thing is unacceptable. But Patricia has also been known to go overboard in trying to make examples out of players. That kind of thing wears thin with them after a while as we saw with Chip.

I'm ok with a drive... even the rest of the quarter.   I'm sure it wears thin on the players, but half-assing it also wears thin on the coaches, teammates and fans.  No excuse for not getting off the field in time.  None.   Then again, like I said, the coaches didn't have any urgency either.  Which is on them and they have a hard time being able to hold the player accountable if they aren't accountable either.    That was too big a moment (change of possession) NOT to call a timeout and save themselves from the penalty to extend the drive for the Giants.

Surprised more people aren’t talking about how broken our pass rush is. For all the money and draft picks invested in it that was a bad performance against arguably the worst offense and offensive line in the league.

I seen it mentioned a few times yesterday including myself.  It's obvious the lack of pressure.

Question is how soon can we get Jim Washburn in here to fix it.

Well, we have his son who isn't doing it

Ok this made me crack up

That doesn't make much sense but ok

Carter was disciplined and needed to be.  Two terrible penalties; he got bailed out on the second one because the ref decided the center was guilty on the play.  I thought Daboll was going to keel over from a heart attack when they were assessed that penalty.

I’d love to know how many snaps he got after the 12 men on the field/lucky no call on offsides.

Yeah, the answer is to have fewer Washburns employed, not more.

They still throw 5 to 7 WRs a game, are they really correcting mistakes?

The eagles are a high turnover team with a high turnover qb.  A trend that lasts this long is their identity.

Perhaps, but Hurts is having a down year when compared to last season.  He was 22 TD/6 INT last year, and 20/13 this season.  He’s been much more mistake prone and not as dynamic with the ball in his hands.

We are likely being unrealistic in expecting his 2022 season to be repeatable every year.

2022 was largely an outlier so far in his career and, for the life of me, don't understand how people don't understand that.

Anyone know what time Lot H opens for a 1pm game?

He was paid to play at an elite level

he's had a hurt knee, right?

I think that explains it.   It would be good if Hurts was 100% for the playoffs. A fully healthy Hurts is more important than 2 seed instead of 3.

Hurts is on pace for 4800 yards and 40 touchdowns. The yardage/points production is very much elite.

The issue this year has been the turnovers, on pace for 19 total. That needs to be reeled in.

Everything else is bueno.

No. If both teams win out, we are the 3 seed.

Three or More Clubs (if all win out they would be Eagles SF and Detroit)

(Note: If two clubs remain tied after one-or-more clubs are eliminated during any step, tiebreaker restarts at Step 1 of two-club format. If three clubs remain tied after a fourth club is eliminated during any step, tiebreaker restarts at Step 1 of three-club format.)

  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs). -- SF beat the Eagles and that was the only game between the three, so SF wins the #1 seed
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory in all games.
  6. Strength of schedule in all games.
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss

Two Clubs (Eagles and Detroit after SF is removed as the #1 seed)

  1. Head-to-head, if applicable.-- No head-to-head game
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. -- Both 9-3
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four. -- Common opponents are Vikings, Bucs, Chiefs, Seahawks, Cowboys with Eagles having W, W, W, L, W, L for a 4-2 record and Lions having W,W, W, W, L, W for a 5-1 record
  4. Strength of victory in all games.
  5. Strength of schedule in all games.
  6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  8. Best net points in conference games.
  9. Best net points in all games.
  10. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  11. Coin toss.

So Detroit gets the #3 seed over the Eagles assuming both teams win their remaining 2 games.

Amazon announced they're essentially increasing the price of Prime by 47% in 2024. They increased the price of Prime from $120 to $140 in 2023. And they're now putting ads in all their movies and shows in 2024 and if you want to remove the ads you need to pay $3 per month extra. So basically to have the same Prime experience you have right now next year you'll need to pay $175 per year. When just last year it was $120.

Relevant for those who subscribe for football games plus other usage. I will not be renewing this is the final straw.

Would this add ads for football games/live tv?

Don't think so, the games already have commercials. This is for streaming movies and shows. You'll be watching a movie and they'll just interrupt it with ads. And my guess is they're going to be really annoying like Hulu to try to annoy the hell out of you and get you to pay the extra $3 per month. Hulu has a series of ads that play. Sometimes up to like 8 ads in a row that last a total of 5+ minutes total.

Think about the shareholders. Don’t think there’s any service left that is ad free by default 😞
