That has to be one of the strangest seasons for a football team I can remember.  Give up 70 points to Miami, start 1-5, win 5 in a row, then lose 3 of 4, and then let's bench our QB bc he might get hurt and we're f'ed.  I know we feel like we have it bad in Philly right now, but Denver is a trainwreck.

Thank god Russ "didn't want to come here"....

If you think we're dysfunctional now, imagine how this would all play out if we would have given Settle what they wanted

I could totally see him being Jalen’s backup next year. Hes exactly the kind of depth QB Howie goes for

To be safe, they should sit Murray.

So little over the middle, still.

One of Sirianni's tenets is "make them defend every blade of grass." It's why there are so many checks into screen passes, so many option plays.

Utilizing 33% of the field only 3% of the time is not consistent with that philosophy. It's broken.

Need to call plays up the middle for passes to go up the middle.   Just sayin’

Hurts isn't the problem, he's made some mistakes (stares down Brown too often) but there is no 3rd WR, 2nd TE or RB threat at receiver, so teams scheme to take away the big three and force the Eagles to beat them with marginal personnel. And Lane simply hasn't played well for a month, with Jurgens in and out of the lineup, the right side has been shaky.

The play calling also sucks, but Siri is heavily involved in game planning, so can't put all the blame on Johnson. They're so dependent on the RPO they haven't mastered the basics of a NFL offense, They run WR and TE screens, but almost no RB screens - but one purpose of a screen is to get someone with open field running skills in space behind blockers - neither Brown or Smith or Goedert is that kind of runner (Brown is best on slants, Smith is a receiver, and Goedert as a runner is a big fullback).

No motion, no bunch formations, when they try to run picks the WRs have bad technique and get called for OPI, and so on.

Heck my Longhorns run a more sophisticated offense than the Eagles.

Someone should stand outside novacare and tell Hurts to check his blindspot

Hurts might not be the problem, but his play has been a problem.

Again -- this changes for me when you start paying a player $51M per season.  Just saying "it's not his offense" or "he only has a few All-Pro's around him" doesn't cut it anymore.

They do have a built-in hot read.  Hurts scrambles around the DE to the right, then lobs the ball out of bounds because there are no receiving targets within 60 yards.

I wish this were a joke but you're spot on sadly...☹️

That explains his defensive scheme

We agree on that if he doesn't change. He is a POS right now

He has two of the best WR in the league and one of the upper TEs. No excuses.

Elite-level pay for mediocre-level performance.
