I think the Eagles are going to go on a run.  Maddox coming back is going to be big for the defense.  If they get the #2 seed then I think at a minimum they are going to go to the NFC Championship Game.  If they have to go on the road to Detroit in the second round though then I don't see it likely them winning in that loud dome with the atmosphere that Detroit would have for that game.

First off, you should learn what a strawman is.

Second, the reason why she wants the Birds to win the division, is so Dallas doesn't, and has to go on the road for every game, thus likely knocking them out as soon as possible.

Wonder what a tie does. 

A tie is the best of both worlds.

Works as a loss for either team would.    Pushes us out of the tiebreaker with the Lions and Eagles move into position for the 2 seed winning out (one seed with a SF loss, as well).   

A tie also means that the Eagles win the division with a win tomorrow against the Cards, regardless of the outcome of Week 18.

Eagles have two games left against two of the worst teams in the league.  All they need to do to win the division is win those games.  Being able to have at least the #2 seed over the #3 seed on the other hand offers immense greater benefits for the Eagles. 

 

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles managed to lose one of the final 2 games. They lost to the Jets and Seattle who was starting a backup QB, and let one of those worst teams you just mentioned pull to within 1 score of tying.

You mean Lions to win?  We don't need the Lions to win for Dallas to not win the division.  We just have to win two games against two of the league's worst teams.  Even if the Cowboys were to win the division they would still have to go on the road in the divisional round and championship game.  Do you really think the Cowboys going on the road to play whatever trash emerges from the NFC South is really going to offer path resistance?  And then after that game it would be the same as if they won the division, on the road the rest of the way.

The chances of the the Vikings beating the Lions next weekend in Detroit is far less likely than the Eagles losing one of their next two games.

That's assuming we win the final 2. This team hasn't made any game easy this season, and there is no good reason to think they'll start now.
