They just survived a dog fight with Tyrod Taylor at home, lost to Drew Lock the week before, have been teetering on disaster in 85% of their games this year, Hurts is a turnover machine, and I don’t really know how much Maddox fixes things. It’s not necessarily doom and gloom as much as stating facts and people have a right to be concerned while still rooting for the best.

People aren't rooting for the best though, they are rooting for the Lions to win tonight.  There is a difference between being concerned and thinking the more likely outcome over the next two weeks is that the Eagles lose one of the two remaining games instead of win them.  They are going to be double digit favorites in both games.

No matter if it's the 2nd or 3rd seed, Eagles are not going to the SB this year. Team is inconsistent as f. Defense is hot trash and QB1 has regressed

Believe me I kow it doesn't matter. I have been reduced to being happy for division win so dallas is on road for the entire playoffs.

Barnes for Detroit be like

55 just had a REALLY weird tackle on that play too.   Jumped on the RB like he was.... I don't even know how to describe it.  Just weird.

That looked like an Eagles play.

It'll be draft talk in a few weeks

Do you want to bet money then?  Since you think it's more likely that the Eagles lose one of their two remaining games instead of win both of them?

Even if they win they are going to look like a** in the win..probably some win with a 65 yard jake ellliot fg or a receiver dropping the game winning td pass on 4th down

Howie drafting in the 20's. Oh boy!

The attempted LaPorta block and whiff sack are insane. I still can't believe it.

So basically you admit you don't want the Eagles to succeed in this post season so you don't want them to end up with the #2 seed and make it more likely for them to go deep.

Saw that coming from a mile away. Both of these teams are playing like ass.

Fine lions. Screw you. We'll just take the 2nd seed

Yeah full on doom and gloom.  Worse, doom and gloom that people are now rooting for.  Cowboys winning tonight putting the Eagles back into the #2 seed only increases the Eagles chances of making another deep playoff run.  And that would make a lot of people wrong around here and people aren't wanting that to happen.

What happens if the lions lose and then the eagles lose one of the next two games? They do not control their own destiny any more with the seeding so it's better to hope for a division title

The lions look like they're part of the script.

Giant **** vs Turd Sandwich tonight

The difference between playing a potential 3-2 game in Philly versus Detroit is massive.  Previously, I had been under the impression that the Eagles winning out would guarantee no worse than a two.  Seeing now that they need Detroit to lose, the choice is easy - root for Dallas.

I want the eagles to succeed but they don't want to succeed the writing is on the wall. They're not going to flip a switch and be competent enough for a deep run.

TOUCHBACK!

YES

.  I still love that rule.

Touchback!
