If Seahawks lose and Rams win tomorrow, Rams clinch a playoff spot and probably rest starters vs the Niners in week 18. Need Rams to lose or Seahawks to win so Rams are playing for everything vs the Niners in week 18 and pull out all the stops.

SF is more likely to lose to the surging Rams than we are to the Cards or Giants.

Ah true. That's plausible. Didn't think of resting starters if the seeding won't be affected by that last game.

One of the reasons I'm rooting for Dallas:  them being a five makes it likely that they play the Niners in the divisional round.

yes if SF finishes #1 and dallas is the lowest remaining seed from WC round.

Also, the other non Eagles game to monitor tomorrow is Bucs/Saints. If Bucs win they eliminate the Saints. Would make it a top 50 pick.

Keep an eye on Seahawks/Steelers, too.  There's a scenario in which the Rams clinch and don't play their starters week 18 vs. the Niners.  Obviously we don't want that.
