My offense answered the bell every time today. Oh except for when they had 30 seconds. You're defense surrendered 35 to the Fing CARDINALS!!!!!!

They can fire the whole staff including Nick into the sun at this point for all I care, but I will say that this defense makes the offensive issues look much, much worse than they really are. 
 

The offense has to be perfect every. single. drive with this defense. Other teams go three and out and punt all the time. It’s not the end of the world. But it is for this team when they give up 75 yard scoring drives every drive like they did today. 
 

The offensive sequence after the onsides kick was a disaster. But they still moved the ball into FG range and got three. But we all still knew the game was over because of the defense. They needed one stop from the defense today and couldn’t get it. 
 

You’re not going to score on every offensive drive. That’s not how it works. But this defense magnifies the offensive errors because of how pathetic they are.

Exactly what is your point?  Bottom line is the O is dysfunctional and inconsistent but the D is downright horrible.  Been that way now for several games.  Goes back to after the Chiefs game save for the 1st quarter vs. the 49ers where they played well.

Is this thread over with now? Lord knows the season is basically over.

Well,  at least the Cowboys won yesterday,  that way,  the Eagles can get the number 1 seed.

Defense was beyond abysmal, but the offense after the Cards gifted them the onside kick was as bad.

Thought they generally moved the ball on them fairly comfortably but then played scared when it mattered most.

Soft all around.

It’s not. Arizona is the 32nd ranked defense and has a ton of injuries. They fielded a team full of jags against 2 1,000 yard receivers and 1,000 yard rusher plus Hurts, Goedert and the O-line, all healthy. The offense put up 24 points. 

This season reminds of Chips second season. They were 9 and 3. Lost 3 of the final four, didn't make the playoffs and Chip got canned the next year. I think Siri gets one more year on a short leash.

Reading comprehension issues really showing in the blog today. How about stop looking at the game that just ended and look at this team since the bye.

The defense has ZERO FING TALENT, they're expected to be bad. The offense is immensely talented and, OUTSIDE OF THE GAME THAT JJST FING ENDED, has played like ish all season long.

I knew we couldnt sit and be comfortable with a 21-6 lead. This team has zero killer instinct. The d sucks, offense just suffers from playcalling.

That Hurts play was emblematic of so much wrong with the offense.  It was 100% hero ball.  We had a QB here that used to get killed by folks for 'hero ball'... meanwhile, the guys at WR were complete and total garbage.  Now we have two top tier WRs... and we still have hero ball from the QB position.   And the OC plays into it by going to the QB run well when they are in trouble.  QB/OC are too closely connected and its not working.   

QB lead on 1st and 20.  Then a Read-Option on 2nd and 18.  And finally, they go to the flanker screen to Gainwell on 3rd and 20, and let Smith get hurt.  Trust your QB to MAKE A THROW to the highly paid WRs, highly paid TE.  And why not have the OC scheme open some receivers sometimes... maybe once.
