nick is a over hyped QB coach

How Nick came out of nowhere to be a HC is beyond me. He was never mentioned or on anyways radar as a coach. Here we are three years in and he has 3 playoff appearances, 1 sb appearance, but we are talking about firing him. He’s lost the locker room and looks totally out coached every single week. If he’d a went anywhere else that did t gave the talent the Eagles have would he have been fired already?

Not much reason to play next week.  Might as well sit everyone.

This.  Sit everyone.  Turn it into a bye.  This defense has been out of gas for awhile and the team has nothing to play for now.

Zero interest there, talk about a conceited hard to root for schmuck. No thank you.

At least his defense plays hard and he likes his secondary to play football rather than freeze tag.

Why is a guy the size of Smith a lead blocker in a bubble screen? And he gets hurt to make things worse. Who’s the 2 now? Watkins? Guess Brown gets his wish and will be targeted 25 times now.

That's not Brown's wish.  His wish is they throw the ball to their 1,000 yard WRs on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and twenty when the game is on the line rather thena turn them into blockers.

I agree.  Sotutland should return.

I think we're going to be in for a rough season next year if he doesn't

There's a strong probablity that Jason and Lane retire as well 😑

It would take a lot more to fire Sirianni than this. 3 playoffs in 3 years. It's just too hard to do so.

Brian Johnson will stay as OC (likely). My concern is at DC. What DC is going to want to come here if they think he's on the hot seat?

Exactly.

I can understand being obsessed with them if they were winning all the time like New England used to but they aren't.

I can’t speak for everyone but my disdain for the Cowboys has nothing to do with their team. I hate Jerry Jones, but that’s about it. It’s their fanbase. They have the most pathetic, bandwagon, loser fans on the planet. And they’re everywhere. None of them know a thing about football, none of them have ever been to Texas, and they disappear like a fart in the wind if they stink or when they lose. It brings joy to my heart when I see those a-holes lose every year.

You have to hope so.   Good news is, the Eagles can get to looking for one right after Wild Card weekend.  This team isn't beating ANYONE in the playoffs right now, and even beating the Giants next week is highly unlikely with the way this team is playing.

For sure.  No reason to think they can stop Tyrod and Saquon and the O is going to be a ball of mess and players/coaches bishing at each other.  I remember when Chip K lost the locker room and I think that will happen now after this loss.  The 11-4 record kept things somewhat in check though there was plenty of smoke the last several weeks.

Well he’s getting the wish next week. Because he’s all they got now.

Don't know how you don't fire everyone but Sirianni, Stoutland, and Clay. Maybe Singleton and the TE coach, but idk. Everyone else, just launch them into the sun.

Tortorella is right across the street.  Could we borrow him?

Different sports obviously…but that is the epitome of a coach getting more out of his players than their overall talent level should allow. The Eagles are the opposite.

Nick is not at the top of my blame list other than "the buck stops with the HC.”

For the season I blame:

1. OC - this offense has rarely looked smooth and productive. And this defense was built to play with the lead

2. Roster construction - this is (somewhat) hindsight but there is some age in places you don’t want age (BG, Cox, Bradbury, Slay) and then real thin at LB, S, and CB so injuries and age stick out that much more.
3. Hurts/OL - not bad but not up to what we are used to either. Jalen has been good but you need your franchise QB to be more than good.

DC - he is in there somewhere - I just can’t tell where.

really, aside from STs, AJ and Smith, what are the bright spots of the season? Even from the beginning when healthy and rested this team never looked smooth.

I’d put Swift in with ST, AJ and Smitty.

I understand it has been acknowledged the defense was terrible. But I cannot accept the offense taking any amount of blame for this particular game. Just because of 1 possession on a short field that only resulted in a FG and not a TD does not justify saying the offense played like ass.

This was a historically bad performance by the defense, and to see multiple posts in here talking about, "if the offense was better” is outrageous.

It’s not even about blame today. It’s larger than that. The offense has been inconsistent for weeks. This was a bad defense and a perfect "get right” game for the offense to get back on track. They didn’t. It was the same issues we’ve seen all year. Dumb penalties, inability to substitute properly, wasting timeouts, calling dumb plays, taking dumb sacks, drops etc etc. it’s not stupid to be disappointed in them making all the same mistakes AGAIN in week 17 against a 3 win team.

Why keep Siri other than for Optics? What does he bring that can’t be replaced?

Why do they always go conservative in close games and play for fgs? Fgs don’t win games tds do.

Because they went for the TD against Washington when a FG was all that was needed... and it nearly burnt them, so they have now overcorrected, and don't know what they are doing.   They are literally the dumbest team with the lowest football IQ I can remember, from the coaching staff right now to the last man.  They have zero situational awareness.

Siri was an OC in name only in Indy. Frank ran the offense.

Siri is useless

Most likely, but I'm telling you I wouldn't put it at zero. I think at a minimum if they're one and done, they make him gut his entire staff. Lurie has not been a patient owner lately. He fired a coach who won a Super Bowl after just a few seasons. He has a standard he expects of his team and the talent Howie built, and when it falls short, and does so embarrassingly, he is going to be pissed and itchy.

Don’t go for the deep bomb. Play smart. Swift was running well. Keep running him until you get 7. It does 2 things it burns clock and scores points.

3 playoff appearances in 3 years. Any new HC has a ton of pressure immediately.

They can't keep BJ as OC.

If they did then AJ asks for a trade, Smith and Swift won't resign, Kelce retires

No one is rooting for BJ to stay on. I'm not even convinced Hurts is bought in

What does he bring though? Is it game planning? Creativity? Play calling?
