Goal was always the SB. But there’s the whole don’t count your chickens before they hatch aspect of it.

We can just disagree on this one.

Why keep Siri other than for Optics? What does he bring that can’t be replaced?

If I’m a potential HC candidate, love the talent on offense but if i see the eagles firing a HC who wins a SB 3 years later and then HC got to a SB then fired him the next year then I’m thinking twice about taking the job. I get only 32 teams and have talent on offense to be really good. But as soon as things aren’t great chance I’m fired.

Coaching staff has lost Brown.  That's clear.

Lurie has proven in the past he’s not afraid to cut bait on a coach if said coach has lost the locker room.

That ref botch error last night and its impact has now spread to this team and altered the entire playoff scene in the NFC. Dallas going from the 5 seed to the 2 seed. Eagles going from having a home playoff game to having to be on the road throughout.

Oh no!

Who will we have to wear players t-shirts, ramble on about complete nonsense and act like a **** on the sideline?

What does he bring though? Is it game planning? Creativity? Play calling?

Over his 3 years, and not just the past 6 weeks, game planning and game management have been good.

That’s fine. It’s not a right or wrong discussion anyway. My mindset has always been take care of business that needs to be handled first. You can’t get the #2 seed without winning the division.

I understand where you are coming from with your point as well though.

Yep.  The people who are saying that Siri and Johnson are "safe” really don’t understand how this Front Office operates.

So what?

They haven't won since 96.  Eventually they will win one.

Preferably well after I'm dead. I just turned 47. I hope to be around awhile, and don't want Dallas having any success before then.

Sirianni is replaceable

Just glue pompoms on a traffic cone

Hire some kids for press conferences

Here’s my biggest gripe that I want to talk about. Look at any great defense, whether today or from yesteryear, and what do most of them have in common? Playmakers at LB and a solid DLine. This team just outright ignoring LBs for years now has to stop this offseason.

And that's Howie. This defense needs a complete overhaul but who's doing the overhauling? Howie? Alec Halaby? That's another disaster waiting to happen.

Howie needs to be humble and hire people to fix this defense from front office people, the coordinator and coaches who will implement a new philosophy, and then talent evaluators to find the right players to excel in it.
Also Ignoring the LB and safety positions along with forcing the Fangio philosophy has proven to be a complete and total failure. Can Howie eat a chunk of humble pie and bring in the right football guys and let them fix this? I sure hope so for our and this teams sake.

Good thing we deactivated ROBY for PENNY.

Fire this entire defensive staff.

Lucky for us we’ll only have to watch them on the road for one game

What's worse though. Getting what you'd expect from ignoring LB, or investing a top 15, top 10 and high 3rd round pick plus the picks used to trade up for DT and two huge contracts on DE and rush LB for the line to just get dominated time and time again?

Yeah, can't fire Siri, but have learned that he needs veteran coordinators at OC and DC.  And Howie has to be held accountable for the lack of defensive talent.  The back 7 is not on Siri nor the DC, that mess is on Howie.

Why is a guy the size of Smith a lead blocker in a bubble screen? And he gets hurt to make things worse. Who’s the 2 now? Watkins? Guess Brown gets his wish and will be targeted 25 times now.

Yup

Using smith and his 165 pounds as a blocker isnt tricky or outsmarting anyone, its idiotically

Stupid...😒

Yup, happened with Chip. Almost about the same time 8 years ago.

Only thing protecting Nick at this point is his record and playoffs.

Vecause they went for the TD against Washington when a FG was all that was needed... and it nearly burnt them, so they have now overcorrected, and don't know what they are doing.   They are literally the dumbest team with the lowest football IQ I can remember, from the coaching staff right now to the last man.  They have zero situational awareness.

Exactly.  The coach is just not that intelligent, which is obvious from all the braindead decisions throughout the season.  Got lucky earlier in the year to still get away with wins, but now our luck is evening out and the bad decisions are costing us games.

If they only had 7 or 8 wins right now he would be gone.

Did Penny even play a snap? I was looking for him but didn’t see him

Nope, not a single snap.

Either they lose at home or on the road. The result is the same.

Your point made no sense.

It made perfect sense.   The point is that quoting a box score is not having a discussion about what is wrong with the offense.  The offense had the ball in their hands with 5 minutes left to go, basically placed there in FG range thanks to the decision by Gannon.   And they did, essentially, nothing with the ball.   Gained 10 yards.  Wasted a TO, and converted the FG that they were given by Gannon's decision.

They looked lost and out of sync.  Their play calling was atrocious and brutally stupid for the situation and they just accepted living to take the FG with their play calling starting at 1st and 20...

The defense sucked.   The offense wasn't good enough.   Both are true.  Who's responsible for this loss?  The coaching staff is to blame, primarily, the offensive coaching staff.   Why?  Because it was clear that they needed to score a TD on that drive, and they settled for a FG.  Did they have no margin for error?  yeah, basically.  But, they chose to play too conservatively in a moment that they needed to be aggressive.  I can't fault the defense for being what they are... poorly coached and undermanned.  The offense is NOT undermanned.  They are under coached.   And to me, the more frustrating part is to WASTE the talent this team has offensively.   Game is on the line, and they didn't even try to get the ball to Brown, Smith or Goedert.  They didn't even TRY to convert the 1st and 20.   Running a pass play might even have gotten you a free first down on a defensive hold call... but instead they chose to kill clock... which ironically was the worst decision, because once getting the first down was no longer possible in their mind... the clock became something they wanted to preserve, not kill.  AND they wanted to let them score on that long pass and run... but they didn't and cost themselves a ton more time, because they didn't have the timeout they burned offensively on that last horrific drive.

That's having a discussion, not pointing to a box score.
