Howie’s entire offseason was a mess besides trading to get jalen Carter. Otherwise what other move this offseason have they made that’s good? The extension to bradberry a disaster. Slay extension also wasn’t smart likelt hurts them next year. Signing morrow. Signing edmunds. Signing Evans. Signing Cunningham during training camp and having to rely on him to play every week. This is eerily similar to their downfall after winning the SB. But just in fast forward.

Nolan Smith at #30 was well received, considered a steal. Limited snaps, as usual for a rookie. Let's see what he does next year.

Brown a good 3rd round pick, Ringo was good value in the 4th, Ricks for an UDFA was good. Steen still developing, good backup. Ojomo for a 7th rounder is a decent backup. These young guys will only get better, they need better coaching and better talent around them (DE, LB, Bradberry has to go too).

Lurie knows how to hire coaches. He also knows when to let them go. If he chooses to fire Sirianni, I won't be upset. I think he's earned one more year, but I'd get it otherwise.

Unlike the last time we had a coaching search, we're in good shape both QB wise and cap/pick wise.

This is how i feel as well. I wouldn't care if they fired him because frankly he annoys the ish out of me with his cocky attitude and idiotic buffoonery while this team has played like crap all year.  When they're playing well its tolerable.

But it seems that nick has minimal football IQ, he needs high end coordinators so he can focus on being a cheerleader.

Without question.

Hope you are right

Last year should not be an anomaly in his career.

Living in Arizona, the losses these Philly teams have to teams in this town are just soul-crushing. The Eagles in the NFC title game 15 years ago, the Phillies back in October, Eagles today. The Coyotes will probably beat the Flyers in the Cup this year in heart-ripping fashion.

Bad Losses to the Cardinals go back to at least Neil Lomax when the Cardinals were in the NFC East, back in St Louis.

Worst rushing defense in the NFL, and the Eagles started running the ball when?  End of 3rd quarter, running the ball also keeps the Eagles defense off the field.  The organization hates running the ball, but Nick has to go to Lurie and explain to him that running will help to cover their weakness, especially defensively at LB where you have guys like Morrow who barely should even be in the NFL, much less starting..

Was it Christmas when they had Smitty block for Goedert on a screen?   Today he blocked for Gainwell and left the stadium in a walking boot, somebody needs to get fired, and when they get beat in the 1st round of the playoffs, hopefully it's Nick. This collapse is on par with Kotites.

None of these dudes, especially Belichik, would never come here. They are established HCs who would want more control than lurie will ever give to another HC

I don't even know where to begin with the defense for next year. We have roughly half the sacks as last year. I really believe a lot of the success last year was due to great DB play forcing teams to hold the ball an extra second for the DL to get home. The DB play this year has been atrocious, especially on 3rd downs. I pay close close attention to how opposing teams scheme and there has been an obvious shift this year. The Cards did it to perfection today. Short passing game in the middle of the field. The LB's are non-existent and the DB's are playing too soft. I can't tell if the scheme is their preferred option or are they stuck covering for lack of talent.

The DL is probably ok in the long term, but the LB's need to be completely replaced and so will the CB's. What started out as a promising season on paper has not materialized as players did not step up. We currently have a lot of younger players in the defensive backfield where it is near impossible to determine their effectiveness for long term potential. It is going to take an incredible offseason and special defensive mind to figure it out.

You guys don't have to take the cheese on every little thing the media posts now. They're trying to draw anything they can from the playoffs. Haven't you guys plated this game before?

These are direct quotes from players.   No media spin needed.

Are we really good QB and cap wise?   You have to hope that the light goes on in Jalen’s head soon, but last year might be a mirage. Even looking at last year the warning signs were there.  The plus of Hurts is that he has enough of a name to entice a HC.  Either way, they need to bring in a staff that can develop him…not regress him.

Fun

Reid had fast food Friday, Chip had smoothies, Doug had ice cream...Siri has flowers. See, we need a coach that uses food as incentives!

What did Jalen do? This loss wasn’t really on our QB

A record breaking team!

It would take a lot more to fire Sirianni than this. 3 playoffs in 3 years. It's just too hard to do so.

Brian Johnson will stay as OC (likely). My concern is at DC. What DC is going to want to come here if they think he's on the hot seat?

This is an epic collapse; started the month as a #1seed and now #5 because of a loss to a 4 win team

What does he really bring if he's not an X's and O's kind of guy?

Gotta sit let players next week for sure. AJ, Jalen, Goedert, 4/5 OL, Reddick, Slay, Sweat, Carter and Davis should sit.

Nope…you punish them for their lack of effort this week by playing them.  Full week of practice too.  Coaches can’t go home all week, spend 20 hrs a day watching tape and scheming.  Hard work pays off, and the team and staff as a whole need a lesson.

Minus the late pick which was meh he was alright. The defense was straight up the pits and cost them.

Not to mention all 3 are overrated and washed…with the exception of Harbaugh not being washed.  Gruden has never been a good coach and this is the worst team to bring him to.  There is too much young talent on this team to hand him the wheels and bring in vets because he doesn’t trust youngins.

Fire Brian Johnson. Bring it Reich. Probably will be the move for 2024 anyway. No major offensive changes needed. Better play calling.

No idea how to fix the defense at this point.

Unfortunately, if  the coaching staff has already lost the locker room, that could likely backfire.

These are highly paid NFL athletes/professionals - Not High School/College Players.

The only way to turn this thing around is if the players themselves band together and galvanize the team, imo.

I don't think he deserves next year. Sirianni has more talent at his finger tips than any other coach has had and he's pooping it away.
