It’s obvious Sirianni’s messages are stale. There is no way he should be brought back next year.

We’re on the cusp of a significant amount of vets leaving, good young core, wrists the worst that can happen? Hurts is 10x better than Kaepernick was at every talent. AJ and Smitty will be here for another 3-4 years.

Jeff is not shoving Howie back in the broom closet this offseason. I just don't see that happening.

who else should be on the radar?

Really we should be looking at DC candidates for next year.

Heads need to roll over this.

They still need to win, technically.   Eagles could win next week... and pass them otherwise.

The cowboys won the division today. But I guess since they only need to tie Detroit to get the #2 seed they will still play.

If the Cowboys lose next week

But that won't happen

I don't even know where to begin with the defense for next year. We have roughly half the sacks as last year. I really believe a lot of the success last year was due to great DB play forcing teams to hold the ball an extra second for the DL to get home. The DB play this year has been atrocious, especially on 3rd downs. I pay close close attention to how opposing teams scheme and there has been an obvious shift this year. The Cards did it to perfection today. Short passing game in the middle of the field. The LB's are non-existent and the DB's are playing too soft. I can't tell if the scheme is their preferred option or are they stuck covering for lack of talent.

The DL is probably ok in the long term, but the LB's need to be completely replaced and so will the CB's. What started out as a promising season on paper has not materialized as players did not step up. We currently have a lot of younger players in the defensive backfield where it is near impossible to determine their effectiveness for long term potential. It is going to take an incredible offseason and special defensive mind to figure it out.

DB play last season was part of it, but just because Hargrave was no one's favorite player, doesn't mean his 11 sacks meant less, dude took Kelce's lunch money weeks ago in that debacle of a game.  Carter has awhile to go to be on his level as a pass rusher, Davis will never be, and Fletch is closer to being finished.  Btw, did Sweat retire and not tell anyone?

I hope Desai is laughing his ass off right now...

Defense was crap under him, but this is historically bad

Nolan Smith at #30 was well received, considered a steal. Limited snaps, as usual for a rookie. Let's see what he does next year.

Brown a good 3rd round pick, Ringo was good value in the 4th, Ricks for an UDFA was good. Steen still developing, good backup. Ojomo for a 7th rounder is a decent backup. These young guys will only get better, they need better coaching and better talent around them (DE, LB, Bradberry has to go too).

The eagles are so hesitant to play rookies rather than declining vets. Outside of 0-line they don't develop talent that well in recent history. Also under Siri training camp by all accounts is pretty soft. I think the SB loss last year along with the expectations going into this season and coaching turnover was just too much to overcome. The D looks physically and mentally finished.

Lurie and Howie have to be honest with themselves. They've invested $250 in Jalen Hurts, $100 million in AJ Brown. 2 1st round picks on the DL along with the draft capital it took to get them, a top 10 pick in DeVonta Smith.

Is Sirianni the best coach to get the most out of these guys or is there someone else who can utilize the investments that they have made? I think the answer is Sirianni has shown he can't and the coordinators he's chosen can't.

It's a shame DeMeco wasn't available this year because I think he's the kind of coach this team needs.

These are direct quotes from players.   No media spin needed.

Sure. But you're gonna get some things like this right after a loss when the media is asking the same negative questions over and over gain. Eventfully, someone is gonna say something mildly negative in return. And then chaos. Rinse, repeat.

So imagine being 10-1  and finishing 11-6 (losing 5 out of last 6 games)  Without losing your starting QB or entire starting oline....

Thats some feat.

I really dont want to see any of the defensive players back next year. I get we are probably married to Davis, Carter, Smith, Brown, Blankenship and Ringo....

But everyone else may go. Buh Bye. Slay,Bradberry, Cox,Graham, Reddick, Sweat,  and the rest the guys who play like no names. Not one play was made by any of these guys today

And every single coach on the defense needs to go as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's still Desai's scheme.

It's all bad. We can blame him and his entire staff.

The head coach has lost the team, plus he's never been good at situational football.  We need a new one asap.

Guess they are losing to whoever wins the south since they choked away the division.

We aren’t beating the 49ers anyway with this scrub D good thing Dallas can’t either

That's the worst response I've ever seen.  Seriously, eat sh!t and choke on it you POS.

Does anyone remember back in the first half of the season when some of us were saying that, even though we were winning, it didn't look right?  Remember when other people here told us that we were wrong and that "a win is a win?"

Good times, eh?

No, it's the organizational scheme/philosophy's scheme, not just Desai's...this goes all the way back to Schwartz.

Our defensive success is predicated on getting to the QB, last year we caught lighting in the bottle with all the sacks.

This year it's backfired on us and opposing teams have learned to exploit our deficiencies.

As long as Howie continues to prioritize the DL and undersized speedy players and neglect the LB/CB/S positions this defense will continue to be ass

Just home from met life. My dad got Cooper kupp to sign his jersey.  Very cool day.

And i didn't have to watch the Eagles suck.

That was last week

Getting close wins vs. KC & Buffalo is NOT the same as getting close wins vs. the Giants.
