I'm talking conceivably.

The FA list at LB isn't great. Mainly aging LBs like Lavonte David and Bobby Wagner. Much better than what the Eagles have but not long-term fixes. Patrick Queen if you like him. He's nothing special though.

I'd take Queen for OLB I guess (depending on cost) and draft a MLB on day 2; Edgerrin Cooper, Chris Braswell, Junior Colson, Payton Wilson all come to mind. Someone with size which has been missing in the middle.

There's a few young FA safeties, Dugger, Winfield, Curl, Chinn. Definitely need one of them. There's some good ends available as well. Then at CB Jaylon Johnson, maybe Sneed.. But we are limited with cap space and have upcoming extensions needed with Swift, Smith, Dickerson. Can't sign them all. We seem to be in some trouble here. Going to really need to nail the draft.

If you look at this season without 2022 in your memory, it makes a lot more sense. Remember, after 2021, there were questions about Sirianni. People were asking what he does here if he can't call plays and the offense only got better when he gave play calling to Steichen. There were questions about Hurts and the turnovers and consistency. There were questions about the defensive personnel.

Then 2022 happens and it was such an amazing year people tucked those thoughts way into storage.

But in 2023, suddenly, those questions return. It would be a weird kind of irony if the Eagles this year got bounced by the Bucs in the WC just like 2021 did and you're kind of in the same place you were that season just a tiny bit better and more talented.

To better understand this season I think you need to delete the lightning in a bottle 2022 from memory, because in 10 years I think it's going to be widely accepted as an anomaly season that wasn't closer to what they actually are.

I mean the eagles have a uncanning ability to hit lightning in a bottle every 5-6 years. The eagles have had two great teams and what happens after seems to be an inability consistently sustain their success and I’m guessing they bottom out at some point

They hire head coaches who aren't very good, but look good early because they have an amazing staff that gets plucked away and then they get exposed when the brain drain hits. And Howie is much better at building than sustaining, which factors into that success as well.

So pissed they got Smitty hurt blocking for the dumb ass screen of all things. Got my man on crutches with a walking boot

Siri has zero net value past anecdotes and corny T shirts.

No play calling, no creativity, no scheme, nothing.

He’s a TATE’r who gets to attend games.

A small positive is if he can’t play week and the wild card round and the season ends in the WC round then he can’t suffer an injury that affects him to start the 2024 season.

Since the bye week teams have rushed for 1052 yards on 220 carries (4.8 yards per carry). Teams are averaging 150.3 rushing yards over that time. 150 per game would be 32nd in the nfl

What a terrible loss and way to end the year!  Did not get to watch the game as out of the country at the moment.  What went wrong?  It seemed the coahces and players all had some parts in this loss.  One shining moment: they discovered Julio Jones in the RZ and he got 2 TDs on 2 targets!  Penny was dressed for the game, but only sat on the sideline.

Maybe Brian didn't realize Penny was active.

Edgerrin Cooper is a flat out stud

Yeah I get our secondary issues and all but what I’m having a difficult time with is the sudden collapse of our run defense.   Makes no sense.

Everything everywhere all at once.

LBs are trash. Believe it or not they miss Dean and Cunningham.

You’re asking for the impossible…2022 happened

I think it’s time we look at the Saleh/Ryans/Wilkins defense/coaching tree.   As bad as the Jets have been, their defense has been stout.  And nevermind about the 49ers defensive dominance over the past few years.

Defensive schemes are well and good but we need quality players in the back 7. The jets do. The eagles are too dependent on their DLine getting pressure and if that does not happen like the last few weeks, the back 7 are hung to dry.

For all of you that give a rats ass about some loser 5th seed road wildcard game, I wish you luck. And I'll see you next season. 10-1 to a five seed is utterly humiliating.

Oh and go Flyers. A team worth rooting for. Not these overpriced underperforming chumps. Most hated team since the dream team.

See you next week!

Find it hilarious that for the past month you kept talking about how there was light at the end of the tunnel. We were a 10 win team, we will get it back.

Now you finally came down to reality and it's funny to read

hey those Vikings fans are doing the Foles chant

Our D-Line is worn down.  That's why they can't rush the passer and also can't stop the run anymore.  LBs are a big problem also.

Did anyone in here honestly think we'd get back to the SB and win it?

We all know the SB loser doesn't get back to the big game, let alone win it.  It just doesn't happen.

We basically had a SB hangover but won 11 games somehow.
