Also said it's not the media.

So he's upset about nothing, apparently.

Glad we got that cleared up.

Good for him.  AJ is a straight shooter.

Which makes it all the more stupid. Although he's probably just lying.

The only "something” in this burger is certain people in the media trying to turn a nothing burger into a Big Mac.

Man, if AJ is lying, he's really good at it.

AJ Brown is the man. Great player, an emotional guy. He's done nothing wrong. Never throws anyone under the bus or starts fights. People foolishly just expect players to be robots so have bought into this baseless narrative that anyone who ever shows emotion is a bad guy.

Well, the defense is still a catastrophe that will cost us, but I feel better about the locker room at least.

I think the path forward for next season is pretty clear if this season ends on its current trajectory.  Going into the season I think the Eagles were built to be a top 5 offense and a mid-tier defense, and the organization was hoping that would be good enough.  Sadly, they are 7th in points scored and 29th in points allowed.  The failures on defense have been a product of bad roster construction, injuries, and bad scheme.

— lost both LBs and both safeties to FA

— both CBs on the outside are aging and declining, and the slot CB is Mr. Infirmary

— pass rush has underperformed, although not quite as bad as most think

The defense needs a complete overhaul in personnel and philosophy; it’s not likely to be fixed in one year.  Bring in an experienced DC with a strong track record, like Schwartz was for Doug.  The DL isn’t in bad shape compared to the back seven — there might not be a single player back there worth hanging onto, and no one should be guaranteed a starter position next season.  Blankenship and Sydney Brown might be adequate.  Lots of draft resources need to be spent to rebuild the secondary and LBs.

On offense, Hurts needs to be better.  Last season he was a consensus top 5 NFL QB.  This season I’m not sure he’s been top 12.  He’s just average right now.  Even average QB play has this offense sitting at 11-5.

OL needs a succession plan at RT, but hopefully that can be a worry for 2025.

Actually, that isn't true about Hurts, he's become an excellent pocket passer, and is among the leaders in completeiy contested passes, his actual completion exceeds his expected completion rate by a sizable margin. The problem is the personnel and scheming, they simply don't scheme receivers open, don't make RBs a major part of the passing game, and lack a competent receiving TE2 or WR3 and WR4. So where Purdy's numbers are inflated by Shanahan and YAC, Hurts is a "victim of circumstances."

Problem with the pass rush is partially the back seven, partially overuse,  they're finally playing Ojomo but Cox, Sweat and Reddick have been run into the ground.

Did they redecorate, or just rearrange the furniture?

Also, did Marcus Hayes really no show? Didn't want to get a quote and ask a question after his story?

Hugh is on the radio now saying he can just tell by hearing AJ talk that there's "still animosity" in the locker room that he's just not going to talk about. Have no idea what that means but an interesting take from an ex-player.

Big update from Nick:

Julio Jones, OZ and Watkins are all the #3 WR.

Did he combine them together to make one super WR?

He doesn't seem like he's lying at all. I like him, the media wants him to be a TO but he's not. He's an alpha high level athlete that wants to win so maybe he comes across brash at times or misunderstood. Is he perfect? No, and maybe or probably should have handled things differently recently but he apologized to his teammates, addressed what's been up and I respect him even more now. I'm on this guys side.

Guy on sports talk radio says something controversial and speculative with no foundation?

I think everyone can agree on that

I don’t want a nerdy genius on defense we already have 2 of them who clearly think defense is played without passion and intensity. Gimme a grimy swaggy dude with some dawg in him

You think miami coach lacks attitude/intensity??

Nah, I'd say he's more of a bozo.

Just my own personal opinion, I didn’t think the players were done with Nick Sirianni. Because for a month they haven’t played well (all year they haven’t captured what they were in 2022) and it’s frustrating. They were just gonna give up on the guy who frankly overachieved in 2021. And then overachieved in 2022, because nobody before the season thought Jalen hurts was gonna be in MVP. Except for RTK. Nobody thought they were gonna make it to a Super Bowl before 2022 and most thought upcoming that off-season we were going to be in the quarterback market again. So because they haven’t played to what they were in 2022 this year and the last month has been bad that they all just turned on sirianni. I don’t believe that. heck doug had a 4-11-1 team that had similar issues where the offense got called out for being too vanilla and basic his last year here, reports he was ok being fired and guys still were behind him

I think there’s multiple things going on. players are frustrated with the playcalling and know it has be better because in order to beat teams like San Francisco and Dallas they need it too.  they aren’t stupid. They look at it and know if they don’t get it better they’re not going anywhere and it’s gonna be a lost season. And I think with the defense guys are gassed, poor coaching and lack of just personnel to get the job done against teams like that.

I do think guys on the defensive side of the ball likely have issues with them demoting desai in the middle of the year to go to Matt Patricia. I think it’s a story that’s going to come out after the playoffs. I will bet there’s guys that go anonymous that say they didn’t like the fact that they fired Desai got canned after that three game stretch. Imo I don’t think that was a Nick Sirianni move. He could say it was but I think that came from Jeffrey lurie and Howie Roseman seeing that they got their ass handed to them by the three best offenses they faced all year  And didn’t think he was gonna be good enough in a playoff situation. That’s not an endorsement for desai but players likely saw it as a panic move and I’m guessing the whole "confidence thing” is BS so they put out there so they could try to justify it without saying we (lurie and howie) don’t believe in him

Then maybe he should take his own advice and stay off social media, especially in season. Philly is always going to be like this. Every player is under a microscope with the media and fan base alike. If you go looking for it, it just makes it worse.

AJ Brown is the man.

Attack the coaching staff, the defense and Hurts. Those are the real targets.

Hurts: "What is this thing you call a 'pocket'?"
