While it is true anything can happen, Washington is playing for the 2nd pick.  Dallas is playing to prove they can win on the road and get two potential home field playoff games.  While it is a division game, it is a modified version with all the guys Washington won't be playing.

Nick is an a-hole. He not only sank the Eagles but put Dallas in a good spot. The clown needs to go.

More money or roster numbers game, Toohill for example they couldn't sneak onto the PS for a year, normal for a 7th rd pick.

Poyer was a fail at CB, it's like Jobe or Ricks being claimed and converted to safety, only a bad team would keep them on the roster to do so, good teams do that on the PS, but you can only protect 3 on the PS.

HIcks was money, Mills was scheme and numbers, he was big and slow and only fit a few schemes.

Good teams lose players, that's why they're good teams - they have a surplus of talent.

Don't sugarcoat it - your boy, Howie, F'ed that one up by trying to be a little too cute again.

We are getting a glimpse of what it is like to be a Cowboys fan - reminiscing about a SB win and looking forward to the draft and to changes in the coaching staff.

Meadowlands is a mess. It's rainy and nasty. Going to be an ugly game unless it clears up by kickoff.

Also people overreact to small sample sizes of other players.

A LB makes a few plays on another team and its "oh see there's LBs playing well on other teams.  Why can't the Eagles have that."  Then a couple weeks later that same guy sucks.

Barnett is playing better now with Houston.   My guess is it won't last and he'll be back to being bad again.  But somehow we made a mistake letting him go after he did basically nothing for 6-7 years.

I never like to crown any player or coach after such a short sample size.

CJ Stroud had a very good rookie year and now the Texans are set?  Well no, not necessarily.  He could come back down next year and regress.  We've seen it countless times.

Teams ands players also don't do well when losing and/changing coaches

but dallas would be #2 seed over detroit due to head to head

but I believe detroit has some tie breaker over the eagles and would drop them to 3 (this is why some wanted detroit to lose to dallas)

I was playing around with one of those simulators. Lions get the 2nd seed if Eagles and Dallas lose. If we win and Dallas loses then we get the 2nd seed

Doesn't really matter what seed we are. You have to be realistic knowing this team will not make it past the Div round. Even the wildcard is a challenge with this team.

I get why people are optimistic because anything can happen in the playoffs. Most recent was Bucs in 2020

Don't think he needs to go.  Needs to learn, but not go.  Firing him now is a knee-jerk reaction, in my opinion.  Team was poorly constructed on defense, relying on the Dline and two aging CBs to carry them.  And not enough DE depth to protect the starters.  If the defense was even middle of the road we'd have secured the Division title and would be the 1st or 2nd NFC seed.

Apparently The Draft Network was in a legal battle with their old web developer and that is why their site was down for months. It is back now, and they are once again working on getting the draft simulator going. Other content is back such as mock drafts, and scouting reports.

But the buccaneers had a defense. If the eagles defense was just average I would be more optimistic.

I was offered free tickets to today’s game by 3 different people.  Have no plans.  Still not going 😂

Good point.

It sucks that the eagles aren't in control for the NFCE crown but at least the cowboys will at least have to field their starters and depending on how the game goes may have to play the entire game.

Pretty sure this game goes one of two ways - either a slop fest or we blow them out.

My son had a basketball game postponed from yesterday, to to day at 5:30. Guess Ill be missing most of the eagles game. Such a shame.

True but I definitely understand that it's a non-zero chance

No Swift today

With this defense on the road its 0.

The Big Glaze says AJ Brown called a players only meeting and in the meeting they said they need to execute what the coaches do and trust the coaches more and stop going rogue and doing their own thing in games.

Might be a good idea. I was reading where Sirianni said Hurts does a lot of changing plays. (He wasnt criticizing).

As we know, the play calls are often stupid. Hurts is football stupid as well so it stands to reason his play calls will be stupid. Maybe they should stick to whats called.

Interesting.  I wonder how far off script they are. We know this team has talent, but it just is inept on so many levels

Add:  It all starts with Happy Feet Hurts.  He has no patience in the pocket.  Hero Ball

If nothing else, it confirms the players don't trust the play calling and scheme. Wonder why.

Yeh, but they had the goat...dude could take an avg team and will them to win.

There are players (Hurts, AJ Brown) out there for their stats over team.

They won because of the Dline and the Chiefs had no tackles

Definitely both of those things factored into the game, but the Bucs don't even make it to or through the playoffs without TB.
