Positives from this game so far:

1)  It looks like Covey is a good receiver.   Maximize him.
2)  Mariota looks good,  he's getting points.  Just got a TD.

My fear with Hurts is that I think he’s always going to need to be surrounded by elite talent in order for this team to be firing on all cylinders, like last year. I know Allen has Diggs, Burrow has Chase, Niners have Deebo and CMC, etc but Hurts needs it all with receivers, OL, and defense. And that’s just not sustainable when you have him locked in a $250 million deal. I don’t think he can elevate the guys around him if they’re just average to above average. 
 

Who has Hurts elevated on this team? AJ and DeVonta would be who they are regardless of the QB.

I said this earlier this year, hurtd is part of the problem with this team. He is not absolved from blame. You don’t have 20 turnovers in a season by accident. Some of it yes poor luck on his part. But a lot of it were his own doing. And this offense at times looks inconsistent because he doesn’t read the field like he was doing last year. The coaching has not been good. I’m not defending the coaching but he is also not played anywhere close to 2022 consistently. He’s play closer to 2021 version then he has 2022 version this year.
