That fall off is so shocking! I mean we knew the DL wouldn’t be quite as good but those numbers are just so far off what they were last year.

I can’t think of a collapse this epic and embarrassing in any sport

Well, you must be too young to remember the 1964 Phillies. That was epic.

A lot of these plays are just not good football, even though it looks cool. He’s definitely going to have to be reeled in a little bit because a lot of these plays are disasters at the next level. Reminds of me Mahomes at Texas Tech where he was just all over the place.

Looks like a college product to me; Johnny Manziel with a stronger arm.  His success will be dictated by whether he's coachable and willing to put in the work to learn to run a scripted offense, and how much punishment his body is capable of absorbing until that time.

Where he was bouncing off boys here, men in the NFL will be knocking him down.

I think if Monday is ugly Sirianni is going to get fired. It’s not just because of how they’ve played, everything just seems so dysfunctional and ugly right now. Every time the Eagles have had this feel they’ve fired a coach in the last decade.I just don’t like what’s coming out of the novacare right now. How the players are talking, what the coaches are saying. All of it feels bad. If we see it I can’t imagine what it looks like behind the scenes.

Yep, fully agree.  Siri needs to win Monday or he's out of a job, and he might be out of a job anyways.

Nick Morrow

Zach Cunningham

James Bradberry

Darius Slay

Kevin Byard

Avonte Maddox/Bradley Roby

Reed Blankenship

That's your "starting" back 7. How many of those players would you realistically want back next year playing full time snaps?

Yeah I like Caleb and think he is a really intriguing and talented prospect but a lot of these plays and his highlights are off script stuff. He has the arm, the athleticism, the confidence and the ability to escape pressure but it is all off script and a lot of this stuff is not going to go down in the NFL.

At least special teams turned it around?

🤷‍♂️

Michael Clay for Head Coach.

I try not to draw too of an opinion off a small sample size, but the idea defense being impotent and rudderless without two elite receivers should have been eye opening for Lurie. This coaching provides no real edge. The aggressiveness on fourth down isn’t even a coaching thing. That comes from Lurie and Co.

I think seeing what happened when they forced an outside voice on Doug should be heavily considered.

Slay. That's it. Everyone else needs to either be gone or not a starter. Maddox will probably be a starter but they really need to look into finding his replacement because he can't stay on the field. Oh and Reed might be starting but I'm not completely sold on him. We'll see how he does in year 3 in (hopefully) a new defense.

Gonna get slay back next year cause that contract doesn’t allow for him to be cut or traded. The dead money and cap hits of pre June 1st cut is $35 mil dead money and 24 mil cap hit, pre June 1st trade is $33 mil dead money and $22.8 mil cap hit and post June 1st cut is $11 mil dead money and 0 cap savings

i think Blankenship is also likely starting. I’m guessing maddox is back but in a restructured deal.

Kind of what I was thinking...plays a lot like Josh Allen, problem is he's 6'1 - 215...where JA is 6'5 - 237. I am sure he will have some level of success but he's not gonna be running around doing a lot of what is in the highlight reel. Heck of a strong arm no doubt and great instincts, but he will have to learn to stay in the pocket in the NFL or risk injury with that play style.

Lol

If I’m Todd Bowles i just blitz every play. Eagles coaches and hurts can’t figure it out. We are still shocked that teams blitz us and make no adjustments to them.

I said Hurts wasn’t the answer and I got ridiculed for it. He’s still not the answer

I implore anyone to tell me what they think he does well as a coach right now. The offense is stale, broken, simplistic, they don't make anyone better, they can't design plays where anyone gets open, they can't handle a blitz, he lost the locker room, he botched the Desai situation, his in game decisions have been terrible(like letting Swift score vs Washington, going for it on 4th down vs the Patriots, etc).

That’s rich coming from him. Packers make the playoffs and jets miss feels like karma. Packers should’ve dealt rodgers two years ago and allow love to play. He got better as the year went on. He looks like he’s gonna be a solid pro. But he’d have been far more advanced right now if they dealt rodgers two years ago when things were falling apart between rodgers and packers.

i actually liked Jordan love when he came out. The eagles did as well cause caplan said they were very interested in him. I don’t know what his ceiling is. Feels like if the young WRs they have develop with him that they could surprise people next year and win that division.

I think they will bring the blitz without fear. Bowles likes to blitz and will know Hurts and this offense can't handle the blitz. He's going to blitz on more than 50% of plays surely?

At one point wasn't Hurts doing pretty well against the blitz? Hell happened.

Can we all finally agree that after a monster stat line of 6 carries for 16 yards and also getting Jalen Hurts killed, Rashaad Penny being a healthy scratch made perfect sense?

I wish DK had a bet for amount of blitzes Bowles brings. I’m guessing it’s gonna be like 60-65% seeing just how bad we are at it.
