I don't think Washington will be able to handle Michigan's running game.

DANNY BRIERE

Chuck Fletcher from the grave Fing us over. 5th overall for a 2nd round pick and a bust

Edit: to clarify, this is good by briere. But fletcher picked this dude apparently without ever talking to him, or else how is it just coming out he didn't want to play for this team?

I didn't really want to jump in on this but I'm curious if you're able to admit that Hurts has regressed this year

Especially when the HC can't stand on his own

Hurts has 100% regressed this year.  I was a huge doubter in 2021, turned to a believer in 2022, but yeah…he’s regressed.  Not as far as some have suggested.  Some people have suggested he’s always been this guy and never did improve last year…just caught lightning in a bottle.  That’s not the case.  He did improve a lot.

Defenses adjusted to this and he, along with the coaching staff, have not adjusted well at all.  I’d wager he would’ve handled the defensive game plan changes better w/ Steichen.  He’s a player that loves to be coached…so that leads me to believe a lot of his in-game decisions are based on info from his coaches.

Get a better coach…get better results w/ Hurts

IDK how Michigan will do against the best WR room in the country.  Go Blue either way.

Agreed on the Goedert point. I was wondering the other day if he’s still a top 5 TE. Kinda hard to judge him with breaking his arm but it’s been a disappointing year for him

That's half the issue. He gets hurt every year.

Matt Patricia = Juan Castillo

Yeah, it's an interesting matchup.

Most TE’s do

Michigan wins with sustained controlled drives tonight.  Keep the Wash O cold on the sidelines…in Houston.

Michigan Fullback looks good.

There are maybe two plays where you can argue Hurts missed an open player, and I’m pretty sure on one of them Gainwell screwed up by releasing when he should have stayed in to block.

JJ would be perfect on this team…

in Juan’s defense that was his first time at DC. Patricia has been doing it for years and sucks at it.

This should be like Michigan vs Penn State. No reason to throw a pass.

He gonna be perfect for a lot of teams.

He almost drilled that security guy in the back of the head lol

Brother is the guard for the Giants

Washington hasn't seen physical before, I don't see them stopping that

Can they please take Brian, Desai, and Patricia. We'll throw in the QB coach in bundle

Castillo actually made that Frankenstein starting D look decent considering the coaches were assembled before he got there.  History should treat him a lot more kindly tbh.

They had answers but they were all wrong answers.

They have the answer but dont know it yet. The answer is switching QBs.

Hurts has been good this year and awful coaching will fuel an entire off-season of dumb takes like "we need to switch a new QB"

He’s not a franchise saver IMO.  He needs a solid staff to go to.

I think he’s an upgrade over Dean, as he’s better in the box and tackles everything  - but Cooper/Wilson are guys who can play in space.

Dont forget, Murray from Oklahoma was the same. Good LB but not a coverage guy. Not an ideal athlete. Hes pretty good.

I do think, Trotter not being an ideal athlete may lose some steam on draft rankings and be available in round 2. Would you take him there?

If Penix plays like he has all year they’ll keep up though, guy throws the best deep ball I’ve seen in a long time. Likely comes down to the turnover battle.
