Castillo actually made that Frankenstein starting D look decent considering the coaches were assembled before he got there.  History should treat him a lot more kindly tbh.

If I remember correctly, they fired him midseason, and they actually got worse

We're all handling the losing really well

Can’t wait for next week.

So that’s what a successful blocked screen looks like

Great blocking downfield…DB is getting bear hugged.

Bowles took over IIRC.  They fired Washburn a couple weeks later after scapegoating JC.

That Washington RB is running like Darius Leonard out there.

They have the answer but dont know it yet. The answer is switching QBs.

To who?

I feel bad for the Big 10 starting next year…they are too stacked with completely unbalanced divisions/groups/whatever they call them as is.  This merge makes it worse.

Hurts has been good this year and awful coaching will fuel an entire off-season of dumb takes like "we need to switch a new QB"

This is both ends of the spectrum.  Hurts hasn’t been good at all by any means this year, but he hasn’t been completely horrible.  He needs to figure out a lot though before he becomes horrible.

Ive thought about this when guys like RTK are here gushing over Hurts 600lb squat and incredible "rushing" ability. This play was already automatic in philly before Hurts came along.

Tom Brady was the absolute master at the QB sneak.

Hurts as a passer has 23 TDs. Tied for 13th in the league. 13th in the league with AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. Yes, he has 14 TDs on the ground but 12 of those are from 3 yards and the tush push. Carson Wentz was equally as good at the QB sneak and it's been proven that Jason Kelce is the driving force in the success of the tush push. I'm not discrediting those TDs but I'm looking at what Hurts is doing as a QB throwing the ball.

I don' think Dak Prescott is better than Hurts. There's no reason Dak should have 36 TDs compared to Hurts 23. Is that on play calling? Is it on Hurts not seeing open receivers? CeeDee Lamb is good, damn good so 12 TDs doesn't surprise me. Brandin Cooks should not have more TDs than AJ Brown or DeVonta Smith. Jake Ferguson should not have twice as many TDs as Dallas Goedert. With these weapons, Hurts should be at the top of the list with TDs.

I think @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! posted Hurts stats the last 8 games and it goes hand in hand with the decline of the team. His numbers in those games are not good. Hurts is part of the reason they aren't good right now.

If the problem were a pizza then Hurts would occupy a small ripped off piece of that pizza.  This team also isn't in the playoffs and doesn't start 10-1 without Hurts.

If Penix plays like he has all year they’ll keep up though, guy throws the best deep ball I’ve seen in a long time. Likely comes down to the turnover battle.

Michigan beat 2022 OSU with Stroud and Harrison Jr, they know how to play this type of team. Penix and Odunze are not on the same lvl.

Bend but don't break, make them drive down the field

Lol ok so HE is in troll mode. Understood

itll be less rare as teams have learned to make dead cap a tool rather than a toxic waste product of mistakes. maybe one day cap guys will understand that too.

Dont forget, Murray from Oklahoma was the same. Good LB but not a coverage guy. Not an ideal athlete. Hes pretty good.

I do think, Trotter not being an ideal athlete may lose some steam on draft rankings and be available in round 2. Would you take him there?

In a vacuum I’d take Trotter in the late 2nd as I don’t think he’ll make it to our comp pick. He could compete for the MIKE spot right away - some folks thought Dean was a WIL from the jump (I don’t think he’s that good of an athlete) so he might have a home there.

Great return…lets them grind more off the clock.  Will be 21-10 going into half…Michigan.

Kelce is one of the best ever.  He absolutely plays a huge role in the Brotherly Shove's success.  But you're losing credibility trying to downplay Hurts own huge role in the success of the play.  There have been many times when the defense because they know it's coming and have prepped for it and waiting for it and they've gotten there but Hurts own power is central in him pushing forward for the gain along with the help of his teammates.

I wanted an 8 min TD drive…but I’ll take it.

Hire Michigan’s entire coaching staff Lurie!

No one is discrediting Hurts, we are simply giving credit to the Eagles team as a whole, starting with Kelce.

This is from 2019 when Wentz was already 21-23 with QB sneaks. The stats posted are not fake. Wentz was 36-38 at QB sneaks. This team is just good at it.

Loveland is going to be an NFL TE someday, great block

Washington in over there heads.

Michigan about to blow their doors off.
