Quick thought on the division-winner privileges in the playoffs...

For years, fans have bemoaned terrible division winners going to the playoffs AND getting a home game.  There needs to be a tangible prize for winning your division.  Otherwise, the regular season race for a division title loses its intrigue, as do divisional rivalries.  So you need some of that.  I think a division winner has to go to the playoffs, even if they have a bad record.

Maybe a division winner without a winning record forfeits the home game.

Honestly, I think they only route the team doesn't run is the looping one but the rest are pretty simple routes.

Irsay might be the oldest 64 year old I’ve ever seen. I usually see him during the offseason out in Arizona a lot because he vacations out here and he looks and moves like he’s 95 years old. Hopefully this isn’t too serious.

The NFC-S is about as bad as it gets, but they still have a division winner with a winning record.  This happens every once in awhile, I think the moaners should just deal with it.

The last round of moaning was weaponized by the NFL to go to a 14-team playoff format, which honestly is garbage most years unless you are making money off it.

There is, automatic qualification for the playoffs. It's mathematically possible to win only 4 games and still make the playoffs by winning your division. Reductio ad absurdum forthcoming, but a 4-17 team should not get a home game.

Yeah I'm not seeing anything too crazy or ingenious there aside from maybe utilizing St. Brown's skillset to create some matchup issues for defenders. Smitty's and AJ's skillsets don't translate well to running routes out of the backfield like that, and we already run a ton of screens, drags, and flats. We even have a decent amount of curls and comebacks.  Would need to see the complimentary routes to really understand anything about those particular plays though, showing St Brown's routes by themselves doesn't tell you too much.

The inactivated steen. Surprising as it would’ve been a good spot to get him some reps cause was a good chance they’d have pulled starters regardless as Dallas began destroying the commanders
